I love this 4k Blu-ray player, amazing colors and audio.

I love see movies in my free time and this is the better

My Blu-ray died so I bought this to go along with my 4k TV. Of course I then needed to buy a 4k receiver, but I digress. This unit was easy to set up, and the wifi proved to be superior to the router I had hooked to my old unit. Have not put a 4k disc in it yet, but am anxious to check that out. So far I am pleased with my purchase.

I have been waiting for quite a while for Sony to bring out a true 4K DVD player. Works very well and syncs to all my Sony TV perfectly. You won't be disappointed. Well Made looks looks better than others on the market.

Good immersive surround sound at 50-60% volume with Dolby True HD and Dolby Digital plus which are lossless Formats. Old Lossy Dolby Digital AC3 sounds OK but soundbar needs to be at 80-85% volume for decent immersive effect. Wireless sub woofer puts out plenty of base at level 3-4. Setup is easy due to onscreen prompts. Atmos effect is a little disappointing, not to much vertical effect. My apartment has nine foot beamed ceilings.Good 4K pass thru.. Sub woofer is heavy at 31 pounds.so setup may be challenging for people who have trouble lifting heavy objects, and they should consider home delivery and unpacking, setup. Chrome cast is a little buggy. Still trying to get it to work. Bluetooth streaming of music has good clarity and frequency response. Overall happy with purchase.

Bought this the week it was first available on BestBuy.com. Replaced my Sony BDP-S570 3D HD BlueRay player. Night and day difference. This X800 is super quiet compared to my old S570 which was loud and obnoxious. This X800 loads movies very quickly compared to the S570. It syched seamlessly to my Sony Bravia XBR70X850B and HT-CT790 soundbar. Have watched both 4K HD and regular HD movies on this player, very pleased with the picture and sound quality produced by this player. The wi-fi enabled apps functionality does not feel as intuitive as the functions as which are available on the old S570, however, I haven't spent much time using them yet. Not what I purchased the player for anyways. So far, so good. Price I think was reasonable and comparable to other brands.

This is one great player. Picture quality is better on all levels, DVD, Blu-ray and 4k . This is the player to buy! This was very easy to set up. Player is easy to use,it's all laid out for you. Best buy I ever made!

best buy did not have the cheaper version only this one, its ok but bulky and sometimes it makes a nice if you put a regular disk in for a little while, like a train, and sometimes it won't play so i have to put in another disk to wake it up, then, it works fine later

I have really enjoyed my new player.Great picture and sound quality. Have also been using it as my primary streaming device. Great product for a fair price. Only missing element is no Dolby Vision.

As a long time Sony DVD/BluRay hardware user and buyer..they still lead the pack with this new model...Price point is great for all that is onboard. Would not even consider any other brand at this level except Sony..
