I still cannot get over the quality of viewing this provides, so clean, so crisp, when watching a Blue Ray or regular DVD or Netflix or Hulu or YouTube. Doesn't matter what you watch with this, the quality is beyond amazing! Oh, also, VERY easy to set up. HIGHLY recommend this product to everyone and anyone. People who have seen movies on this keep asking me where they can get one or if I can get them one for the next holiday/birthday. They seriously cannot get over the quality! You also should get the 4k HDMI to go with it. It may be a bit pricey, but so worth it! I couldn't even imagine going back from this to any other player!

Player works well and is well built. Much better than the cheap plastic.

I've had this player a little over a month. It has worked with DVD-Audio, Super CD, DTS Surround, standard CD & DVD, B/R DVD & 4K DVD; and lots of stuff in between. Of course, like all B/R players, it really improves the sound on standard CDs, and improves the sound and picture on standard DVDs. I can not recommend this unit too highly. I almost forgot perhaps its best feature: All sound and video is output via HDMI - unlike the old methodology for DVD Audio disks; which was to output all 7.1 channels via analog audio outputs. This is a major improvement for which I have waited many years.

Looking for a 4K video player. Sales associate recommended this product.

I have waited a long time for this 4k player to come out. Sony has done another great job with this 4k player. 4K movies are great to watch. Sound is great as is the picture.

I like all of the features of my blu-ray DVD player. I love the fact that it accepts blu-ray discs, DVD discs and CD's. It also provides easy access to important app's, such as Netflix, You Tube, Pandora, etc. It also provides very clear and vivid HDTV images. It is great!!!

A few individuals told me that this system would not play with my current receiver. It does work and the picture is amazing. Change to 4K, it's worth the upgraded technology!

This is an excellent 4K UHD BluRay player, and integrates nicely with movie streaming providers, and with Sony's A9F HDTV and HTST5000 home theater sound bar/subwoofer. An excellent value at between $250 and $300 depending on current Best Buy offers.

I bought this 4k Sony player recently and was impressed with the picture quality as well as the speed in which it begins to play any disk. It was also easy to set-up.

I will say I've been purchasing movies and DVD's for YEARS!! sold my large collection of DVD's I had for years. As times changed and the technology improved in way of quality and sound I upgraded to blue ray and then 4k uhd with HDR... That was ultimately The best for me.... So I had purchased what I thought was a 4k player prior to this purchase was indeed misleading as it was just a blue ray player that "upscaled" to be as close as or to a uhd player and being it wouldn't play my first 4k movie I purchased it was obvious... So I ended up purchasing this player and after many visits and many movie purchases it seemed as though the quality of the picture was good but it was nothing in comparison to how all the television displays seemed to look like in the store.. so after speaking with a representative at the best buy store he recommended that I then purchase better hdmi chords to enjiy all the benefits that uhd 4k with HDR.. so using the EXACT hdmi chords they recommend to me which were quite costly,I really didnt see much of a change. Now I purchased just couple months ago a new 2019 visio 4k smart UHD TV that has such an outstanding quality and picture that while streaming some of my apps that have movies with uhd ,HDR available the picture plays in an outstanding ultimately beautiful picture example ,when watching typical blue ray it plays at 2160p. now with this TV it comes in above 3100x2160 p whis is an example the numbers arent exact but very close.. now to the point,when I connected the 4k player to the newer TV it still does not appear to be at the quality of what I'm capable of just streaming my movie apps like Amazon and netflix... I'm really confused being I was under the assumption I was investing in the quality I wanted. When hooked this player to the newer television when I play a 4k uhd HDR movie when I hit the info button it still only plays in what says 2160HDR and that's it.... now idk why there is a difference but I guess it's not what I thought. I'm unsure if was my misunderstanding although I've always purchased my movies because I preferred quality and now feeling as if buying the movies wasnt worth the cost I paid I dont know if I will buy anymore until I figure out if the player isnt what I thought it would be or if it's another issue. Now I will say that every purchase I've made to best buy was my own choice and in no way does this change my thoughts about best buy or the reps at best buy.. they have ALWAYS been kind courteous and professional. And will continue purchasing from them.. the store gets a 5☆☆☆☆☆ rating from me... Although this review is about the player and the player isnt what thought would be.. and reason I'm presenting this review now and not earlier is because after buying newer TV with fantastic picture quality I was very excited to see movies on there thinking perhaps the movies would have been to what I expected

This is an excellent 4K Blu-Ray player and is one of the few at this price point that are capable of High Dynamic Range playback as well. It's easy to operate and my wife and I use it for playing 4K HDR Blu-Rays, as well as for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Vudu (which has many of the digital copies of movies we've purchased over the years). The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is for its lack of HBO Go, which we have to use a different device to playback. Pros: - Playback of 4K HDR content looks and sounds amazing - Even when playing discs, the unit is very quiet - Very easy user interface - Loads streaming content very quickly Cons - Does not have HBO Go (I really hope some day they have a firmware update that remedies this) - Only supports HDR10, not Dolby Vision

I bought this to go with 4k movies for my 4k tv. Of course, it is great with the 4k movies, but it also makes regular blue ray movies look like 4k too. I'm very happy with it.

This has everything you need - HDR, 3D, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound. It has 2 HDMI outputs, so you can send audio to a receiver and video to the TV. Setup is quick and easy. The only thing this is missing is a 4K HDMI cable, but this player is definitely worth the price.

This Wi Fi enabled Bluray player turned my dumb TV into a smart TV! Not only does it play Bluray discs and DVD's, I can watch Netflix, YouTube and all kinds of other things without a computer! I ditched my Cable and now just use this to watch my favorite shows and movies!

easy to operate, great little remote. Adding apps can be a challenge.

I love the clean sound and picture.the sound is what I like the most.

This is by far the best 4k blu Ray player so far, I replace an Xbox one S with a Samsung 4k player but it look cheap and had to keep changing settings to try to get the best of every movie, the Xbox one S had a lot of problems and picture was not perfect and never sync with voice, but with this Sony player don't have any problems and looks nice next to any player

4K disc plus a 4K TV makes for a large difference in picture quality
