Simply to operate, connects easy to internet and media connections are smooth 4K movie play awesome with great sound

The picture looks great with my Sony XBR850 and it does not even support the HDR. The player was easy to setup and easy to use.

A 4K player is vastly better in audio and visual than any bluray player. This was an open box and performs well, however it came without a remote. The discount reflected that issue. However, i never did check anywhere else for this model; come to find out, i could have purchased this on the site for less and had a remote. The remote makes everything happen and other Sony remotes don't interact with this bluray. I have the Sony Bravia 4K. A little research would have saved me money and hassle.

This Sony UBP X800 is excellent. The build is great. I gave it 4 stars because it cost more than the X700; and couldn't play Dolby Vision. I had to return it for this reason.

Had my eye on this for a few months, read the reviews and knew this was a solid player. When the price recently dropped I immediately got it and it really performs, noticeable upgrade in dvd quality. Would recommend.

After much research, I bought the ubp-x800 by Sony. Excellent image quality speed and quiet operation. The player does require some fine tuning of settings to maximize picture quality with your 4K tv - these can be found online simply. I’m using with a Samsung uhdtv 7500 65 inch curved and it’s great. The only real downside is that like most 4K players less than 700$, it lacks a front display - but the remote has a button for a pop up on screen display. For the money it can’t be beat.

Haven't had a chance to use the streaming or 3D features of this player, but so far the colors are rich and deep and it plays seamlessly on all this 4K Blu-ray and DVDs, so far so good!

Awesome picture. Easy install. 4K images are outstanding. I purchased two of these for children at Christmas. They love them.

The unit performs as advertised and provides great picture and audio. The biggest problem, the unit locks up and there is no way to reboot the unit other than to unplug it. I have this located in a rather sophisticated audio system. The AC cord is hardwired into the unit so you have to unplug it from the AC source. This is a major issue. I now have an extension cord so I can reach behind the unit and unplug it. I am not sure why they cannot provide a reset button to reboot the unit.

Use this 4K blue ray player along with our 4K TV and the picture is amazing. No front screen display on the 4K blue ray player.

I needed to replace an aging player. I checked the reviews of several blu-ray players and this one stood out for performance, features, and value. I bought it on black friday and I am very pleased with my purchase.

We recently upgraded to 4K in our main TV area and felt we had to get the new DVD player to go along with the other items. No second guessing our choice here. We have been pleased with Sony products and this one is no exception. The player is fairly basic like all of them are, but this one also has a number of nice apps included like Hulu, Netflix, etc. The Interface is nice and clean, and feels more snappy than the previous models. The newer processors clearly make a difference.

My husband wanted to upgrade our viewing experience by getting a 4K TV & 4K player... It works great!!! The 4K movies look even better than regular Blu-Ray movies

Very pleased with this 4k Blue Ray Player..Movies look absolutely amazing and the unit is very easy to use.

This thing is really built well. Nice picture and sound. The only draw back is no dolby vision. Other than that I am quite happy.

I have had the player for a few months now. Very happy with it. Easy to set- up and the 4K picture is clear and precise.

This is the second Sony 4K in my House. It actually has a metal body and is absolutely silent. I bought this for a crazy price and love using it almost everyday.

Finally purchased a 4K player and after hooking it all up, had to put on Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2. I couldn’t believe the color depth and pristine picture quality. Great player and amazing audio and video.

This 4K DVD-Blueray player makes every type of disk look better on screen. Easy to set up, too. Many features still to explore.

I bought this Sony 4K Blu Ray player in early May 2018 to go along with the Sony TV technology upgrade to 4K Items I like 1. It's heavier than some of the others, which by itself makes it seem like its a quality product. 2. I like that when I press play the TV automatically changes over to the Blu-ray input. 3. Easy to set up for anyone with some tech behind them. What it could do without - my opinion With the new Smart TV's having all the streaming apps already I wonder if the a new player requires them now too. What could be better 1. It takes awhile to load regular DVDs - my older Panasonic was much quicker.
