This is a 4K must have... make movies awesome!! Sound is way better too

I bought this as part of my vintage stereo setup as I wanted to still play CDs and SACDs. I am using the digital out to the DAC in my Pioneer Elite media player and it sounds amazing. I bought a few SACDs and I am really impressed with sound coming through my late 70's stereo. This is a well built unit and plays almost any format of disc. I haven't used it as a video player yet, but as a an audio player it is outstanding!

for this price range you wont find a better Blu-ray player and it has many apps as well as doubling as an audio player capable of playing most formats.

excellent through-put for paid streaming HD services, very good hi-res sound. Strongly recommend the step up in cost from "lesser" Sony products. Hands down out performs the LGs.

I purchased the Sony UBP-X800 due to its processing power and available customization for viewing movies. Prior to purchasing the X800, my Xbox 1X was my only way to view 4K movies in my home theater. After making all the connections to my Sony 4K tv, I immediately noticed a night and day difference in video quality. This player is a must buy for anyone building a home theater that wants a high quality video experience.

I purchased this item on Black Friday. I also have the Samsung version. I much prefer the interface and the remote control with this 4K player I moved the Samsung to my bedroom.

Good quality picture...easy to use. Best Buy had it all.

Was going back and forth if I should upgrade my old Sony Blu-ray. I purchase this based on reviews for streaming and speed pair this device definitely lives up to my expectations

The machine was easy to hook up and streaming is great. The picture quality is awesome.

Sounds good. Price was good. Only issue is sometimes even after you turn it off it turns back on

While small, this is an excellent sound bar. The sound is a great improvement over the Tv's. It was necessary to use the Tv's headphone output and the soundbar's axillary input.

Sony always has a great picture and is user friendly, even for seniors which Is.

This Blue Ray player is exactly what we requested, glad we bought the 4K HD works well with our new OLED 65" TV. The operation is very easy with our new Logitech Harmony remote

I've been waiting a long time for a 4K player like this. I have an older 4K tv that is not compatible with existing reasonably priced 4K players. This UBP-X800 fits my need. It also plays BD and DVD effortlessly. I have a Samsung 4K player attached to a newer 4K tv. The Samsung often will not play BD or DVD. This Sony 4K player is reasonably priced, and with the introductory bonus offer of two free mail in 4K movies is a great value.

This 4K Blu-ray says it all. My second one and better than my LG 4K Blu-ray player

Easy to use and setup, upgrade blu-ray videos to about 4k

A Bestbuy salesperson suggested I purchase model and I have been very pleased since. The video processing, colors and clarity are off the hook in HDR mode. The streaming engine looks very nice as well. It's particularly fast in connecting and has not lost connectivity yet while streaming 4k content. Overall, this is a great product and on sale for $269 when I bought which is a very good value on a very good 4k DVD player.

These blu-ray players haven't seemed to changed much in the last few years. It runs just like pretty much every other decent player I've purchased in the past. It looks nice. Seems sturdy, but I have only recently purchased it. No issues so far.

Very impressed with the TV I purchased. My only complaint were that the directions were pathetic, even the labeling of parts. Luckily, Sony.com technicians were very helpful.
