This Sony UBPX800 Streaming 4K BLUE RAY player is fantastic. The picture upgrade from our old Samsung Blue Ray is amazing!!! Someday we’ll be able to upgrade our TV to a 4K technology, then we’ll have the ultimate home theatre!! Love it! Love my new Sony 4K Ultra HD blue ray player. It's fabulous. Hadn't really planned to replace my existing blue ray player when purchasing my new Sony 4K HD TV and Bose sound bar, but so very glad I did. It works so well with the other HD pieces I would have regretted not getting it. These players are priced high right now but expect them to start dropping in price.

Like everything about this product. Easy setup. Excellent pic quality.

The Sony UBP-X800 loads very fast and the picture quality is excellent. It doesn't support Dolby Vision which I personally don't think is a big deal. It has some heft which probably indicates a good build quality. I also use the player to play back video files by way of its USB port. This feature works very well. All in all, a great player.

Have only had it for a few weeks but works well. I tend to use it more for streaming 4k content and it works slightly better than my smart tv did but not that much of a total difference. Haven't had a chance to watch any Ultra high def movies- so can't comment there. Blu-ray was as good as always. Lastly - it does have tendency to freeze up at times and the only thing I could do to get it unstuck was turn the power off. Kind of lame there and is primarily what keeps me from giving it 5 starts.

I got this because it was on special. The reason why I chose this model instead of others, was because it has Wifi and some of the others do not.

Has WiFi, apps, and can send the audio to a Bluetooth headphone. It does not have an optical audio output though. The color look good on the TV.

The Sony - UBP-X800 pairs perfectly with my Sony Bravia TV. 10 minutes from unboxing to watching 4K movies! Easy to connect with an HDMI cable (not included) the TV knows the Blue-Ray player is there and will switch to it automatically. Plays 4K Ultra HD, Blue-Ray, DVD all effortlessness.
