It’s a home run from Sony. Great feature set, plays regular dvds on up to ultra blu ray. Even plays sacd’s. Superb value for the money.

Makes blue ray movies better and the few 4K movies that I have the picture quality is fantastic. Easy to use.

We installed this Sony HDR set in our bedroom, since we watch most of our shows at night. This 43" set delivers a superb image and it really makes viewing shows so much nicer. Couldn't be happier!

I've been rewatching movies now because of the HDR and it makes a huge difference.. Colors pop out and details you don't see until you see it in 4K really catch your eye. I love how you can have one HDMI port go into your TV and another HDMI could go into a receiver or soundbar so you don't lose the true audio from the movies with ATMOS

I am usually leery about Sony products but after reviewing all players in this class I choose this one. The hype is true. This is a first class player for 4k. Also, by having two hdmi outputs it allows the video to connect to a 4k TV while also separately connecting audio to a non-4k receiver. This adds years of life to an already good receiver.

My family loves the picture quality and easy to use remote.

After reading all the reviews and wanting a blue ray player that was compatible with Dolby atmos bought this player. Not disappointed.

Since I already have a 4K tv I wasn't sure a 4K Blu Ray Player would give much of a performance boost....boy was I wrong.Im so glad I went ahead and invested in this tech.The picture quality is much much better and Ive future proofed my Home Theatre.I have a SONY 4K TV now a SONY 4K Blu Ray.They are one of the best if not the best brands in this game!

We bought this DVD player. Easy to use great picture.

I first bought a Samsung and the remote was so intolerable I replaced the unit within months. I bought this Sony, huge improvement. This unit is heavy, seems well built, has a sane remote, played everything I tried so far. It’s a bit slow (even with old Blu Rays), not sure why. No stupid curves (it’s a DVD player!), boxy good looks!(which don’t really matter). Never tried any apps because I have 20 other ways to do that.

Replaced an older Blue-Ray player with this and the investment is worth it with all the features. Easy to operate, hook up and enjoy.

I have been through many mid range Blu-ray players over the last few years and have not been happy with any of them until now. I have a Sony TV that is not 4k ready and this player works flawlessly with my tv. It even plays the Ultra HD blu-rays. The picture is awesome, the unit responds quickly and movies DVD, Blu-ray and Ultra HD all play perfectly.

The guy at Best Buy steered me towards this 4k Blu Ray player so I bought it on the spot without reviewing on-line reviews, something I normally don't do, but I will say, this thing is nice for several reasons: The obvious, the awesome clarity of 4k, but it loads so much quicker than my standard Blu Ray. Haven't used it that much, but so far, I love it!

This 4k ultra hd blu ray player is fantastic, The picture and sound on a 4k disk are incredible and it up converts blu rays to 4k and they look just as great. This one is also 3d and paired with a 3d tv it gets a great picture as well! No downsides other then no optical out for sound but it's performance is outstanding! Crystal clear sound and picture!

Bought this blue ray for my hubby for Christmas. He didn’t really think he needed it; thought his old DVD player was still ok. Then I convinced him it had WiFi capability—no more wires to hook up. Then he re discovered Netflix and now our Amazon Prime Video. He loves this new machine and it is so easy to use. Great buy, especially at 1/2 off.
