I partnered up this player with my new XBR65X930E TV and Yamaha A/V receiver and so far the results are astounding. Havn't really played too much on it yet but so far it has performed as advertised. Set up was quite easy and fast. The remote is adequate and easy to navigate. Apps worked well and the controls operate seamlessly. Very pleased

This Sony 4k UHD player is top quality. Heavy duty casing allows for zero vibrations even with the heavy bass of my Klipsch 7.1.2 Home Theater System. This was not the case with my previous 4k player which would occasionally skip during wall rumbling Bass! Great picture quality and pretty much best deal for the price as well.

Great 4K picture. Clear upgrades to Blue ray and DVD discs.

This Sony is the 3rd 4K Blu-ray player that I've tried, and I've come to the conclusion that UHD is just not worth it. After comparing the image from a standard Blu-ray on my current 4K upscaling Sony BDP-S6500 to a UHD Blu-ray of the same movie on the UBP-X800, the 2 are practically indistinguishable, in my opinion. In fact, I preferred the standard Blu-ray picture, in some cases. I won't be considering an upgrade again until my current player stops working.

I needed to upgrade my disk player when I upgraded my TV to 4K. This was at a great price and really has no issues. Since I've had it though a couple of times I have had to unplug it to get it to reboot. It was unresponsive to any pushing of the buttons on the unit itself or the remote control.

Picture and Audio are incredible. Actually almost sounds like I'm running it through the sound system but wasn't. Once I did run through sound system I was blown away. This IS the player to buy!

I had been wanting a UHD player for a long time and had been debating between the Samsung and this Sony. I decided to go with this Sony player due to the Samsung being the first UHD player released and hoped that Sony had some time to work out any issues. This player has been great with smooth playback and great sound quality. Would buy it again.

Easy to set up and the picture quality is great. It seems that it has some difficulty to play regular DVDs.

I heard this 4K blu ray player came out in March and I went to pick this up right after work. The 4K visuals are awesome on my 4K tv. It has the Sony Hi Res Audio which takes the sound up a notch. A big plus is playing my regular blu rays on the 4K player, it seems like it's even more clearer and the colors are more vibrant. Happy with this purchase!

I love this 4k player...it upconverts my BluRay collection to 4k quality. You can't even tell its upconverting it looks that good!

We purchased a sound bar because our new tv's speakers were in the back of the unit and we had trouble hearing it. This sound bar has corrected that issue for us. I am happy with my purchase.

The DVD player is great but for some reason I couldn't get it to stream in 4K on Netflix. Looking at reviews I am not the only one.

I must say I am impressed with this 4k blue ray player. I just wish it had a display on the front and more apts.

Good picture and sounds great with the soundbar. Like the streaming. Have not used it for music yet.

Bought the DVR and the Sony TV together, and they work flawlessly. DVRs, in the latest format, are razor sharp. Highly recommended

Upgraded to blue ray from my original Sony CD player. The old one was still working fine so suspect the new one will last forever.

I am new for the most part to any technology above a flop phone. Also discovered what was new 2-3 years ago is so obsolete going to anything newer for me is a challenge. Still, it went well.

Watch 4K blu ray, Stream in 4K, upscale to 4K. Gets the job done. Only complaint is that it doesn’t work with Samsung one remote.

Love that even if I take a disc out or a child opens the player by accident, it remembers where the movie left off. Thanks Sony!!
