This is the perfect player! Plays HDR 10 and Dolby Vision and easy to use and the picture quality is Great!

Love the 4K player it has great picture and upscales a DVD very well. The remote is small but has every function needed.

Works well, and up-enahancement of blu rays and dvds is great. 4K looks outsanding on my LG OLED. Very easy to use as well.

It's great, plays UHD 4K movie discs, supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The streaming apps are not the best. It does support Dolby Vision with Netflix, but the Hulu app is very old- it's still called Hulu Plus, and it doesn't even support multiple profiles. I couldn't get it to play any video when I tried it. I told it to update the apps but it didn't update the Hulu app. But that's not what I got it for anyway. It's great for playing discs and loading times are quite fast. Has separate power off and power on commands, which is nice if you use it with a Harmony Hub. Appearance-wise, it's a pretty cheap-looking plastic box. But that's fine, I'd rather have them put the expense into the electronics.

This sony 4k bluray player is fine piece of equipment. The image quality when playing a well done 4k disco is detailed and vivid (using my lg oled b8). I was especially impressed with the dolby vision images it produced. Also I was very pleased with the playback of regular 1080p blurays. Image quality is my no. 1 objective when purchasing video equipment ( I could care less about "smart" features, though this player seems to have many) and this sony does a great job of doing that. Furthermore the price I received at Best Buy was very reasonable.

It works great. Fits into my entertainment center, it's almost invisible. Plays 4k blu-rays great (watched Lord of the Rings) and regular blu-rays looked great too. I didn't try out the online capabilities much since I use a chromecast for that. Youtube and vudu seemed fine from my quick looks. The remote works well and was easy to connect to my Vizio tv. It did not come with an hdmi cable. Maybe this is a new cost cutting revision? (I have a bunch of hdmi cables so that wasn't an issue for me) This Sony seems like a great option if you want a Dolby Vision 4k player! Very happy.

Easy wireless setup (except for power cord of course). Beautiful video. Provides access to a variety of streaming services.

Beat value 4K uhd bluray player. Got in on sale for 179. Includes dolby vision support. Compact size is a plus too

Love the small size for the cabinet it is in. Puts out a great image and the price was a steal. The app features are nice but duplicates from the TV

For the price this is about as good as you can get. For the price. There are better ones out there but you will pay a far bit more money. It is very sensitive and will skip and or freeze on the smallest bit of dirt or prints on the disc. Mine has done this a few times but I can live with it. You also need to turn Dolby Vision on or off, it is not automatic.

So far so good, easy to use and my UHD discs look great. Simple to set up. Good entry level player for the money.

I got this player to watch dolby vision and it works great. I have a Samsung 8500 which is good, but this is better. No skips no issues at all.

I bought this player to replace a ten year old blu-ray player that started to wear out. The new player is one third the size and weight and light years ahead. It took less than 15 minutes to program, including updates and signing in to my Netflix and YouTube accounts. The remote is simple to use and the player is ready instantly when you turn it on. It recalls your place when playing DVD's, unlike my old player. There is simply no aggravation to this player at all. Everything does exactly what it is supposed to , quickly and efficiently!

This blu ray player is very compact and good at its job. It has HDR10 and Dolby Vision available lending itself to show the best image possible for most movies. The remote has a ton of buttons, a con for me, but i use a Logitech harmony instead. I believe is does 4k upscaling, but 1080p films don’t look too bad on it. If you want Dolby vision this is the cheapest one at the moment I believe. Pretty solid. I did price match Amazon even as an employee and I got a good deal.

Purchased this player to replace Samsung M8500 which one of the dvd lens burned out after one year. The 4K resolution on the Sony player is outstanding on my 4K tv. It has a smaller foot print then the Samsung which I like. Start up on a Sony 4K dvd is quick! Setup was extremely easy. The remote functions are far better than Samsung. Overall performance of the Sony 4K Ultra HD is great and you get Big Bang for the buck on this unit! Very happy with my purchase!

The box has a small footprint, and the remote is fairly standard as with most Sony remotes. Have had no trouble playing any CD's in this unit. 4K UHD CD's really come alive on this box, provided you have a 4K display. The only down side of this box I find is the very annoying preview that ALWAYS shows up when entering Netflix and at each line stop. (I don't know if it is the same for the other services as we don't subscribe to them) It really slows down the process of selecting what you want to watch. Though this is part of Netflix marketing not necessarily the fault of the box. With no way to turn that feature off, I give this box a 4 star rating instead of 5.

This is exactly what we were looking for when we searched for a 4K Ultra HD Hi-Res Blu-Ray player with Wi-Fi which enables streaming. After nearly 18 months of use it continues to operate flawlessly. My only complaint is that it used to stream Amazon Prime but for some reason Sony has discontinued that ability on their streaming TVs and DVD/Blu-Ray players.

I replaced a Samsung unit that quit working unexpectedly with this Sony 4K BD unit. The picture was remarkably better but I really like the fact it has two HDMI outlets. I ran one straight to the TV and the other to my Denon amp. I only need to turn on the amp now if I want to watch a movie with surround sound, otherwise I can just use my TV speakers. The streaming is nice as well but I have that capability with my TV or FireCube already so I probably won't use that feature.
