Can’t complain, plays the discs, upconverts nicely. I don’t really use the smart features because I have the 4K Apple TV. Overall a great little player!

There is No other 4k player out there with Dolby Vision n sound, if u don't but it. Ur blind.

This isn't the most expensive 4K Streaming Ultra HD Blu-Ray player but it really is worth what I spent. Movies are flawless. Picture is so clear you can see blemishes on actors skin, Audio is exceptional. The upscaling does quit well also. Really I have no complaints. I comes with Netflix and a few other apps. I haven't tried them because the Sony TV has all I could want as far as apps.

The ease of wireless connection is so quick and simple! The sound is nothing less than spectacular, where the balance between bass and treble and all the little surrounding sounds make it feel as you're in the movie! And no need to install background speakers with the built-in surround sound mode!

The Sony blue ray is great the apps are way to use and the WiFi seems to be good. A couple of times I noticed it is slow to boot up. After boot up the device works and has great features. The Netflix shortcut on the remote is handy and provides quick access. I would purchase this unit again for another room. The small size is perfect for just about any room.

Really nice 4K Blu-Ray player. This model has wifi enabled and is a "smart" device so it can also stream popular service such as Netflix, etc. It's really slim so it can fit into most TV stands very easily. A great way to take advantage of those low-cost disc rental kiosks that everyone's been raving about, you know the one you're thinking about, Yes that's the one!

This player works very well, and suits our needs. Our TV equipment is not all that hi-tech, it’s pretty old but we don’t want to get a new one yet. This player has great picture quality that stays good looking on our TV screen. I’m not very tech-savvy but hooking it up and running movies on it is about as simple as it can get. Very satisfied with this purchase!

I purchased this player because it was capable of Dolby Vison, unlike the UBP-X800 which I replaced. I'm totally blown away by the difference in the picture quality. I have slowly upgraded my home theater so that all the components decode and display the same formats. In my case, Dolby Vison and Dolby Atmos. So far, it been totally worth it.

Best priced UHD 4K player you can get. It delivers HDR, HDR 10 and DolbyVision and it has 3D capabilities too. Standard app's included, wired/wireless connectivity. And if you have space concerns (we have it on our RV with our 55" 4K tv) this is an excellent choice given it's small footprint. For the price, can't be beat.

Easy set up and great picture from this 4K blu ray player. I have had several Sony blu ray players and they have all been excellent. I only replaced my other one because I needed a 4K player for my new tv. I am very happy with its performance and continue to recommend the Sony players. (No, I don’t work for Sony, I just enjoy their products haha)

After getting a new TV and sound bar, I knew I also needed a 4K player. I love buying Blu-Rays and even own a few 4K movies already by accident. Not going to lie, the price is what attracted me to this player. The price points for 4K players are either this cheap or well into the hundreds. Very little middle ground. But so far, everything is great. Sound and visuals are phenomenal. I would have liked better apps on the player but it’s not the end of the world.

Great 4K Player. Excellent picture and sound quality and has most streaming services pre-loaded. Very easy to setup with multiple connection options. Wireless connection was found immediately with no need to search. Software updates are automatic so you are always current with firmware. If you find on sale, this player is a no-brainer.

Picture is very clear. Easy to use and small enough to not take up too much space.

I got this to get closer to maximizing my new 4K tv. I chose this one because my tv displays Dolby Vision and this player can play Dolby vision 4K Blu-ray DVD’s. Only one episode of this player freezing, which just required unplugging the player. That is the reason for 4 stars. It does require you to select Dolby Vision in main screen before you watch the disc. And it required an update right out of the box. These are minor things that you do occasionally, yet only add to the capability of this player. I would choose this player again.

was in the market looking for a bluray player that wouldn't break the bank. i found this guy during black friday, but didn't think of buying it because i wanted to weigh my options. turns out, when i purchased this, it was cheaper than the black friday price. has the basic functions you need out of a bluray player with 4k and streaming. does feel a little flimsy, but knowing sony's track record, i know that it is built decently. if you want a basic 4k uhd blu ray player with streaming capabilities without the frills, this is the way to go.

Like everything else there's too many apps that I am never going to use on my Blu-ray player. I have them on my phone I have them on my TV and I have them on my receiver I really didn't need them on my Blu-ray player but thanks. Other wise it does a fantastic job playing 4K so there are no complaints here :) Remote is Tiny though

Very easy to connect, small and fits anywhere. Picture and sound are awesome.

The Sony UBP-X700 is a solid Ultra HD Blu-Ray Player that really delivers. This DVD Player is considerably smaller than the one it replaced, but it's not missing anything feature wise. The UI is very intuitive, setup was easy and the picture looks great. Netflix loads up quicker than any other device I have, so that's an added benefit. I did a lot of research before I bought this one, and it comes highly recommended!
