Picked this 4k player up for $200 on sale. The player is easy setup and pretty straight forward. The Dolby vision does have to be turned on in the settings. There is also just 2 Dolby settings Dolby dark and Dolby bright. I have had zero issues and would recommend this 4k Blu-ray player.

Love the fact it is 4k ultra with HDR and the audio feature is great. But terrible for Wi-Fi in the sense each time you turn it on you have to reconnect to the Wi-Fi. My old LG would remember the Wi-Fi each time I turn it on. Wished it had options to add other Apps, doesn't really allow me to add specific App. Otherwise a good buy, if you can overlook those issues.

I am a loyal Sony user so I upgraded to this 4k bluray player to go with a 4k television. My old Sony bluray player is still working, but many of the apps dropped off because it is so old. My only wish is that it would support the AppleTV app like many of the other streaming apps that can be used.

Excellent entry 4k player. I did a ton of research to find the best 4k player for the price and have no complaints with this one. Bought it primarily watch the 4k lord of the rings trilogy which is absolutely breathtaking using it. Visuals and audio are amazing!

I purchased this 4K player to replace an older Sony Blu-ray player and it's been great,so far. It definitely has a better wi-fi feature. Connects very fast and never loses the signal. Discs look a heckuva' lot better too,very sharp,excellent clarity. I've only had it for three weeks but so far,so good.....

Compact, efficient light weight Ultra HD Blu-ray 4K unit. It gives good video quality. We use it in our motorcoach so size considerations were important. It apparently has other apps but don't use because it is on our TV. It is backwards compatible with earlier Blu-ray and DVD's we have.

This 4k player does what it's suppose to do. Playback great video and audio. I don't use the apps, I have Amazon Fire Cube. The Dolby Vison and Atmos works great. In fact, I just might compliment this 4k player with a Sony STR-DN1080 receiver in a few days. I recommend this 4k player.

I wanted a 4K HD Blu-Ray DVD player that was inexpensive and could deliver a solid picture with no complicated setup, and this delivers. It has several apps that are useful if your TV, DVR or other options do not have access to streaming services such as Netflix or Prime.

This 4K DVD player was a gift for our son-in-law and daughter. They added a 2nd TV so they can watch while their daughter sleeps. They reported the setup was very easy and they like the streaming ability in addition to the quality of the DVD playback. The price we paid was extremely good for the quality Sony delivers.

This is the only blu-ray player I will be needing for the next few years; It plays 4K blu-ray. 3D blu-ray; regular blu-ray; DVD and CD discs. As amazing as 4K is, it does not compare to 3D and I am glad this blu-ray player plays 3D. It's not as bulky or heavy as some other units and it's priced just right. Could not be happier with my purchase.

I purchased this after being increasingly frustrated with an older Samsung 4K Blu-ray player that I had purchased quite a while back. That device was very slow to respond and came with a rather flimsy remote with poorly defined buttons that was extremely frustrating to use. Alternately, this Sony player is quick to respond, supports all the formats I use, and has a reliably sturdy and user friendly remote. As is the case with most Sony products, the remote is extremely similar to ones I've used on older players, so it feels natural to operate. The only complaint I have is with the apps available on the device. Sony has a painfully limited selection and seemingly no way to expand it. While many of the most common apps are represented, there are some notable ones missing, meaning this might not serve as the centerpiece for accessing all of your media. Still, with so many other devices capable of accessing those apps, this seems like a relatively minor complaint.

Has great picture and upscales very well. Was rated on most sites in the top 5 along with the much more expensive units. Sony made this unit with all plastic case and has no optical out, but I only paid 150 for it. I have had no issues with it so far and would buy it again.

I purchased, the Sony bluray player from Bestbuy. This, bluray player is totally awesome. The picture quality is great especially with the bluray 4k. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would highly reccomend this bluray to anyone. It was very easy to hook up to my TV.

This Sony 4K/Blu-Ray media player is top notch. Some reviews talk about it’s noisy I haven’t had that issue it’s very quit. It is very easy to setup and navigate through the menus. I can’t say nothing negative. I own other Sony players that are over 10yrs old and never had a issue. Sony did it again. Excellent quality.

Purchased Sony 4K tv, so I upgraded my old Sony blue ray player to 4K also. Easy to connect and get up and running. Remote works well. Picture quality excellent. Purchased some 4K travel and nature DVD’s to replace lack of vacations due to Covid. Picture is like being there.

One of the best features is the fast startup and playback. Turns on in seconds and opens the loading disc door quickly. 4k picture quality is top notch, not sure about bluray upscaling to 4k. Network streaming features are convenient but I like the dlna streaming from my network storage. Hi Def audio output thru a separate hdmi is a good feature as well.

Blu-ray player had some issues. I just up graded to 4k LG tv so I needed to get a good player to match it. This was a good deal, it was on sale and it was an open box buy too. very happy with the use so far. Don't do any streaming or that type of thing so I cant tell if works well for that. Overall very happy.

I use this Blu-Ray with my Surround Sound, 4K TV, suite of electronics. It not only brings out the most wonderful of picture but enhances the sound experience. Easy to operate, Sony is a true leader in the 4K business.
