It seems that reviews for all brands of newer players have people complaining about lockups , freezing and bad customer service. I decided to bite the bullet and bought this unit 3 weeks ago. So far so good. I left off a star because there is no digital readout of any kind on this unit. I'm used to seeing elapsed time and/or time left on the disc.

Great Blu-Ray player.

He helped me pick out the right player, answered my questions, made sure I had the HDMI cord I needed, and DID NOT make me feel like I was silly nor was he pushy. That was really important for me as technology is not my strong suit. Thank you!!

Good replacement for an old DVD player

If you are playing your own video files in a folder the menu will not take you back to the list of files. You have to go back up to a main menu and then work your way back to the folder to play a different file. You cannot download other apps - you can only use what is provided. WI-FI setup was easy and works good with the apps provided.

A suprise gift

Honestly they love it for 1, I have nothing but Blu-rays in my closet and they want to watch them but not with a DVD player. 2, they're enjoying all of the movies now. With every penny knowing that they're happy of what I bought them.
