||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony player does a very good job on every disc I've put in it and I like the user interface especially for streaming YouTube, Netflix and Amazon Prime.Build quality, however, is substandard. Extremely light weight with no display on player itself. Overall player "feel" when putting discs in is very flimsy. Unit does get the job done well for it's primary purpose.

One that I particularly like is the mirror option . I can mirror my laptop to my flat screen TV. All in all a great DVD player and worth the money.

However, it has settings so it can be turned on by selecting the needed HDMI port on you TV...or, if you run it through a switch like I do, you can just turn it on/off through its remote. I think that's cool.

This player was easy to set up and had been working great. I have used it to play Blu-Ray movies and for streaming services (Netflix). I do not have a 4K TV yet so I'm anxious to make full use of the clarity when I finally upgrade my television.

THE FACT THAT IT HAS A LIT “ON” IS A PLUS. THE OTHER SAMSUNG PLAYERS DO NOT (WHICH LEAVES ME WONDERING IF THE UNIT IS ON OR OFF WHEN NOT IN USE).

It has an internet update feature which seems like a great idea. My only concern is that the CDs now feel quite hot when I remove them and I hope they get no hotter. So far, it has worked perfectly well.

I also have tried the phone mirroring feature that it has, where you can mirror your phone to the TV through this player. That is really easy to set up and works fantastic.

The disc stays where you left off most of time. Starts playing a disc almost immediately which is amazing. Don’t know about picture and sound but sure it’s good.
