Wow, some of our Blu-ray movie's looks so great and the 4K are even better and absolutely fantastic to watch. To us it looks almost realistic like your watching it at the Movie Theater. We're very happy we made this purchase! :-)

This is a great player for the still new 4K format. Absolutely gorgeous picture, very easy setup, and decent remote and menus. Love that it has two HDMI ports, one standard port and one just for audio. A little light on the apps, but it has the ones I use most.

This is my second purchase of this model. I bought my first one for my home theatre 6 months ago, and really like it. It has a new and improved user interface for streaming Amazon and Netflix programs, and actually made my 10 year old Sony Blueray players obsolete. Things I like: It has a mini remote control, the streaming interface above, and the clear picture. Things I don't like: Needs better installation instructions, for my Sony home Bravia system, also Sony deleted several onscreen indicators including surround sound volume and time remaining on movie.....On the whole a good value once you have successfully hooked it up.

Purchased a new home theater system and wasn't about to buy a cheap DVD player so went for this one and was SUPER impressed! Even bought a 2nd one for the bedroom! Excellent Picture and easy to setup and use.

Was looking to purchase my first 4K player and this one did not disappoint. So many options and settings to make your movie experience just right. Would highly recommend. Easy to set-up and use, love that it has WiFi!

Love it great picture and sound. Flawless so far. Now I need to buy a few 4K movies. So far all I've bought is Spider-Man Homecoming and it was terrific. I have some blurays scanned in 4K and I even notice more improvement. Great player valued priced.

excellent dvd player for the right price. picture quality on the 4k movies is fantastic. love the easy set up and user friendly remote. have always trusted Sony products, this one did not disappoint.

I recently upgraded my entertainment system to 4K Ultra HD. This extremely affordable 4K Blu-Ray Player is a nice addition. I am very please by the video picture that I am getting from it for both Ultra 4K videos as well as regular Blu-Ray dvds.

This player works incredibly. Have already streamed thru it and played videos and music along with movies. I've also played cds on the player. Best sound so far from a actual player. I decided on watching a dvd movie or two and it looks even better than a dvd or blu-ray player itself. After that I thought about watching a blu-ray movie which I did. Boy, does it look good. I finally tried the actual 4k movie after a while and.. woow! Its completely mind blowing! The movie I watched was from 2006.. I could only imagine a movie that has come out most recently. Overall it's an excellent entry level 4k blu-ray player. Definitely recommend to those people that enjoy media a bit more that the casual viewer.

NO frills unit; does all it needs to do; not sexy at all, but will play that new 4K content to the max....you can spend a ton more money, but doubt you get better performance...unless you own measuring equipment other than your eyes.

We had this unit for awhile before we realized it had streaming capabilities. It has been moved upstairs to our theater for use with an Epson 4000 projector. Movies are crisp & clear. Streaming is excellent.

I have had this unit for about a month now. It was simple to connect/set up to wi-fi and worked immediately with built in apps including netflix. However, upon second use (an off and on system cycle) the unit would not recognize any of the built in Apps and this remains an issue where it has to be shut down again and turned back on to reset- then it works fine. Had a similar problem but only occassionally with the prior Sony BluRay that it replaced but it became worse over time to a point that it no longer worked at all. My entire A/V system components are higher grade Sony including Amp and TV with Klipsch sound components. I would probably not buy another of these Sony Blu-Rays because of this.

This model supports Dolby Vision and the more expensive X800 does not. If your TV supports Dolby Vision you will not find a better Blu Ray 4k player at this price. I would highly recommend the x-700 . The quality is jaw dropping on our new A1E.

Great player. Easy to set up. Decent remote. Beautiful picture quality. If you are going to get a 4K ultra HD payer, I can’t imagine going a different route. This has everything you need, plus more.

This is a great 4K Blu Ray player. And you can’t beat the price for what you get. The picture and sound quality is spot on! Plus it has Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos! Minus 1 star for the software as it looks outdated and non user friendly. But besides that everything works as advertised. Definitely recommend.

I love it. I now nowadays there are a lot of streaming services with 4k content but it’s not the same. I prefer to buy physical disc since they will give the quality you really want. Great player for the right price.

Excellent picture and sound quality! Upgrades the quality on Blu-Rays and DVDs like you won't believe. I compared thia one to the model 800 and found that this model had more capabilites, oddly enough.

Great BluRay player, works reliably and loads quickly. I haven't been able to fully test the 4K color and picture quality because I don't yet have the correct HDMI cable. Generally, I think this is a solid product for the price.

This is a great UHD player. Not only is the 4k picture great but it upscales 1080, 720 and 420 content nicely. However, it does have its flaws. You have to manually turn on Dolby Vision, which is a real pain. It also randomly freezes sometimes. Aside from that, it’s a steal.
