Honestly I expected more features out of this Blu-ray player for the cost. Does not offer and cannot connect to the PlayStation video service like on my cheaper Blu-ray. Really Sony! Why? Other than that the picture and sound quality is great!

I am surprised they have not updated their app interface. I have the X800 that is 2-3 years old and this still looks the same and is not as good as their TV app interface. Price has not come down in the last few years, and I still think the price is too high.

Very sleek looking unit and simple to use. Plays my DVDs just fine and also CDs. Don't have any Blu Ray yet, but looking forward to seeing the upscale quality. Installed yesterday and so far so good.

Looked at several overpriced 4K players with a million unnecessary options. I just wanted to play dvds and stream Netflix. This works just fine for that and I’ve had zero issues with this player. Gd bang for the buck.

At $150, I was ready to upgrade to 4K! This player works great, loads fast is quiet. It has smart features, but most people probably have those on their TV or FireStick etc.

Very nice blu-ray player--starts up fast and has tons of apps for different streaming services. I mainly got it because it has an HDMI output for both video and audio allowing me to hook it up to my Polk soundbar.

I do not like the full front door ejection, but I've been buying Sony Products for over thirty years and never had a problem, also everything I've ever bought from them lasts longer than other brands I've bought...

Was having a problem with this player playing the English version through my soundbar and had to adjust the audio on my tv to pcm, and use the optical cord and hdmi connection to the soundbar. Now it plays all my movies in the English version. Other than that, no other issues. I'm satisfied with it now!

I like how the player loads faster then the one I replaced that was 11 years old. I hope this one lasts as long but I don't count on it since most things you buy now a days only last a couple of years if lucky.

Works as advertised, no defects to speak of. My only real issue is interface seems really outdated..like something from the players from 10yrs ago. Needs a serious update in that department

I came looking for a Samsung BR. Appears those not made anymore. Got the Sony instead, and could not be happier. Works good and plays discs even if a little dirty.

The unit fits perfectly in the kitchen to allow DVD viewing while eating at the breakfast counter. Due to limited space, it fits within the small confines of the under the counter space.

I am using it for Blu-Ray since the tv already has all the streaming apps also. Works will in the Sony TV. Also, this was the first device that already had the latest software update out the box.

I love this blue ray player and really like the fact that it plays regular DVD's as well. We have lots of both and it is nice to have one player that does both so well. Really a great product.

The picture is great, 3D plays great on it but when we don’t use it for a few days it won’t turn on unless I unplug it and plug it back in. Not sure if I will return it or not but I’m leaning that way.

I have had this player for a month now and have tried all but one feature. That is HDR because my current 4K TV does not support it. Disk all types ( DVD, BLU-RAY, 3D BLU-RAY and UHD BLU-RAYS) and streaming movies look great.

It work well to play 4K and other video discs. I'm not sure about the built in apps, as I don't need them with a smart tv. There is one BIG negative. No screensaver. That's a BIG oversight for a 4K player, which many people are likely to use with a OLED TV, where burn-in is a potential issue. That also makes it difficult to use this player to music CDs, without worrying about burn in. When I turn the TV off it turn the player off as well. In order to play a music CD without risking burning, due to the lack of a screensaver, I had to start the CD then unplug the TV. The lack of a screensaver is a 4K player alone was enough to deduct 2 stars.

Very functional DVR player. Got it for our kids' room so they can watch DVDs/Blu-Rays without having to use our main TV in the family room!

I did many searches for a good quality blue ray player and I was sold on this one. It does everything I need it to do and no skipping. Although a little pricey, I’m very happy with my purchase!

Load time for discs, very good. While playing blue ray disc and using disc menu, unit locked up and required shutdown to reset. Good selection of Apps with all the big ones included; Vudu, Netflix, Utube etc. Love the smaller more simplistic remote and menus and settings easy to navigate...worth the buy.
