So far I've had no problems with this 4K BD player. The one thing that's odd with it is that you have to toggle Dolby Vision on and off manually. Set to "ON" converts everything to DV, which may not be such a bad thing ;-)

I have only bought sony players the last 10 years and they all have been absolutely fantastic. I like that my old remotes all work for it as well... only down side was the need to do an update first day out of the box.

I only buy Sony products for my television and movie watching, and like most of the products I've purchased, this Sony 4K player has the high quality that I've come to expect from Sony.

After putting my Blu-ray player in service I discovered that it would take a thumb drive which was very pleasant to find out. It was a nice discover that it had this option that I knew nothing about

Bought this for a Christmas present on Black Friday sale. For the price it was easily worth being able to watch dvds, blurays, 4K Blu-ray’s, and stream stuff. It’s a bargain for sure

The player was not too bad to setup aside from figuring out the right audio settings. Unlike Sony blu-ray players, this ultra player has a very ugly interface. It's a plain black screen with no branding at all. It feels like a generic player rather than a sony product. I was extremely disappointed with the user interface after owning many previous sony blu-ray players and other products. The playback quality seems good. I purchased this to get Dolby Atmos support as I haven't bought a 4k TV yet. It works fine at 1080p and seems to function well with my Yamaha receiver. Playback of DVDs works well. The firmware update process took quite awhile and required the machine to reboot a few times. Don't plan on watching a movie out of the box. GIve yourself 30 minutes for updates and configuration at least.

Very happy with the newer Blue Ray unit. It compliments our new Samsung 4K TV. We get the most out of our dvds. It replaces our previous BR player, adding more features, and true 4K.

The player allows the old Sony non smart tv to pick up Netflix and Amazon right through the player. The resolution on blue ray is really good since I was able to see all details on Ready Player One

This DVD player provides good quality at a reasonable price. I ran into problems attempting to play older DVD's but it recovers (somewhat slowly) unlike my older DVD player that stalled for very long periods trying to recover. It was easy to install and setup.

Plays great no lag and unneed noise. The units a bit small making it not so proportional to the other devices but other than that it’s great the home landing page could use some work

I needed a new DVD player and I wanted to upgrade to Blu-ray. After looking and looking and trying a couple and then having to return them, I finally settled on this and I am very very happy.

Seems to be working fine. Purchased to replace an older Sony Blu-Ray player that was not passing through Dolby Atmos, despite adjusting all settings to supposedly output bitstream.

had to problem with the hook up. One thing I didn't realize is that when viewing a DVD vs. blu-ray you have to designate it before play. I would think a machine like this would know that and adjust and play

I bought this DVD player for my husband and he loves it. It plays several types of DVD's with ease and the remote immediately pared with out smart TV. I'm so glad I made this purchase.

Like this DVD player, but had to exchange for a new one within a couple weeks because it started to sound like a plane was about to take-off when playing a DVD. The new one works great. The interface is good and works with our Sony TV remote

We all know that 4k is still relatively new technology. And because of this, players are expensive. It does a good enough job, but I am a big fan of the remote. Putting on subtitles is a one click options compared to the las 4K player I had where it was 4.

Replaced an older Sony model that still worked but gave to a family member. This is fast and high quality. Smaller size than previous. Looks good and doesn't take up much room.

Works great, but as usual the instruction book sucks. Integration into a home theater system requires better directions. Needs an optical audio output and front panel display.

Personally, the UBP-X700 is a good 4K player. I have it connected to a Sony 4K TV and the picture is outstanding. My dislike(s) is that the remote is too small and does not have a back light. Sony should include a stylist with it.

Well the setup was easy got this for my dad. Ever since hes had it I've read great reviews for it and will buy one for the Dolby vision and hdr10 for HDR tv. Wish there were more HDR10+ supported devices for my tv.
