Bought it because it was on sale and the lowest priced player I could find. But I really like it had a similar sony Blu ray player both with no real issues. Would recommend

The BEST 4K Ultra HD Blue Ray player for the money. Sony dose not talk about this one, was going to purchase a Play Station, much better for JUST WATCHING movies.

Picture quality is great, but it said it comes with Streaming Apps and the ability to add more. NOT! It only comes with Netflix, Prime, and Youtube. And you can NOT download more.

I was in the market for a good quality blu-ray player that had a wireless connection . This Sony player has high definition image and is a quick connect as a wireless product . Well worth the money I spent for it .

I am amazed with how this Bluray Player can play every audio format under the sun ,and I am similarly impressed with the HDR being applied to every bluray even 1080P blurays.

Does what it's suppose to do. Easy to setup. FYI make sure you have a HDMI high speed cable that supports 4K UHD, because it does not come with one which is pretty lame.

Purchased product on sale approximately $70 less than full MSRP. Real bargain. Unpackaging the player revealed a product footprint that was smaller than I've ever seen before. The player exterior looked and felt cheaper than any previous Sony player units I've owned over the years. Strange. When hooking up the UBP-X700 to my new 4K LG OLED (which has Dolby Atmos capability) it would not play blu-ray disks if both "HDR" and "Dolby Atmos" options are selected (as recommended by the user manual). Only when I deselected the "Dolby Atmos" option would the blu-ray disc play. Not content with the outcome, I researched online as to what was going on and found that other users were experiencing similar problems, primarily driven by wonky firmware. Even after performing a software update this behavior persisted. Rather than deal with the frustration of not being able to avail myself of my TV's Dolby Atmos capability and do manual work-arounds as suggested by the online community of users, I returned the unit and exchanged it for LG's 4K Blu-ray Player (UBK90), paying a premium price but with flawless performance. Bottom Line: I was very surprised that Sony (known for its tradition in high quality products) released this product into the marketplace without sufficient enough testing. Disappointing.

Player is wonderful for 4K streaming and 4K player. This is very important as most units are streamers only. I was fooled by this with the PS4 Pro, but I have actually played 4K movies on this unit so its verified.

We generally trust our Sony products. We were not disappointed. This is an amazing product. It has made us very happy. I would highly recommend it. You will be very happy with it.

Great player and upscaler. It does however from time to time has a hiccup to where you have to factory reset it and start the whole process and programing over again. It's expected if you are constantly using it. Overall I really like the Sony.

This DVD player is so nice and works so well you can’t even believe it all the options the remote the sweetness of it is exceptional

Don’t get me wrong, this is no Oppo uhd player. That being said, this thing does great. Great color, great playback. Just don’t like the user interface and the like 3 apps you can use with it.

Easy to set up and use for an old timer. Beautiful pictures transmitted to my new 65" Sony TV. I can't tell you how much different the 4K movies are on this DVD player.

Image quality and sound are amazing. Not only on 4K titles, but older physical media looks stunning. Get new miles out of your collection!

I was impressed at how it upscaled a regular Blu-Ray to look close to 4K. The 4K Ultra HD dvd player is a perfect match to my new 65" SONY. Streaming works flawlessly.

The unit plays great video and starts quickly. After a year the unit won't turn on unless I unplug it first. Unit still plays and when it does video quality is amazing. Using with XBR75 900F

We updated our Sony TV so therefore had to update our previous Sony DVD/VHS. The person that helped us find exactly what we needed was very knowledgeable and helpful.
