Solid 4K player, Dolby vision on a nice TV looks amazing. Can’t speak to apps, I use a Roku for all streaming, so this is just a player for me. Took off one star for the remote, I think they could have done better. Otherwise, solid 4K player with Dolby vision for $149.

This is one of the few Dolby Vision capable UHD players that are out. The player does feel a bit flimsy given the materials they used and its not your standard disc player size. But hey for the price that they charge that is more than fair.

This is an excellent player for both old DVDs and new Blu-Ray and 4K HD compatible discs. The price is great and the player is easy to set up with an HD television. One caution: you have to supply the HD cable.

This Sony makes my 4K content pop out of the Sony 4K TV I bought. I was never a big 3D fan, and as far as I'm concerned, this combo is as good as it gets. And the sale price was the best I've seen on any 4K player ever.

We really like Sony, & this Blu-Ray Player does a great job. Its stable, works great, easy to use & lots of options for streaming. The video/blu-ray & dvds look great & sound great. Very happy with this purchase.

I debated on going with a cheaper option, but was worried about the picture. Paying a little more for this was definitely worth it. The first movie we watched on it was Harry Potter and it was incredible!

This DVD player does its job well. My Blue Ray DVD's give excellent quality pictures, and my older DVD's also are better with the upscaling this player provides. I could have spent more, but this player does everything I need for less money.

So far so good. My television is an older 4K model without HDR, so when I upgrade it, maybe it'll make a difference. But for now, it works just fine. The apps included load faster than my previous Sony Blu-ray player, so that's a plus. And the sound seems to be louder also, especially with Dolby digital.

I have always been impressed with sony players and this is no exception. It lives up to its brand name. Excellent picture quality and smooth playback. Easy to use.

At this price, it does everything I need from a UHD/4K DVD player. There are a lot of other, more expensive options but if you just need a basic player that includes 4K functionality, this works. It also has smart TV features where you can access online streaming services through the DVD player. It's both WiFi and hard-wired capable. My TV already has the streaming services built-in so I don't use this functionality on the DVD player. The Remote is small with small buttons but does the job. You can control the power and volume of your TV. If you don't see your TV in the instructions, google it. I had to connect my Vizio TV using the codes I found on the web.

Phenomenal 4k picture quality - astounding value for the price. 1 caveat tho for discerning viewers: if your blu-rays and 4K discs aren't specifically called out for HDR format or DolbyVision, you HAVE to manually go in and turn those settings off before watching a disc, otherwise the picture quality will be misread and awful. Conversely, you have to manually turn HDR or DolbyVision on if you're watching discs that are formatted for either of those, otherwise the picture is unwatchable. Assuming your settings are right, it will look amazing.

This is my first 4K player. I have had a 4K TV for a while but didn’t think there would be a big difference. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The edges are clear, the background is sharp. It’s like being at the theatre!

I have been using Sony Blu Ray players for over 10 years now. I also have the step down from this for my mother's house when I come over with a rental. This one is my main blu ray player, although I will be purchasing the step up blu ray soon. This one is pretty quiet, except for start and ending playing a disc but I can't really fault it for that. The remote is the same as the last version 10 years ago, so I have it almost memorized at this point so I don't even need backlight on it. One thing I dislike it the shiny plastic front which gets reflections during day time watching but I will be fixing the curtain. I will be moving this one to my room soon and also use it as a CD player.

This 4K (UHD) blu-ray player is amazing. Functions terrific, upscales regular DVD's, is HDR compatible, and delivers sharp images for 4K 24p playback. For the price I paid, it's worth it!

I only needed this for basic Bluray DVD viewing, but chose this in case we ever do get a 4K TV. It is nice that you can stream Netflix through it, but we already had that with our Firestick TV. Reading through some of this, I am sure it can do many functions!

Discs for the win. Colors pop so much better than streaming the same movie. Easy to use UI. Great that the controller isn’t line-of-sight. Can’t find anything bad to say.

Only had it for a few weeks. High quality with cost corresponding to quality. Have had very good experience with Sony products. I like this Blu-Ray player plus other streaming features very much.
