It plays 4k blu rays and standard blu rays. Also plays audio CDs and audio from USB drives. The picture and audio quality is amazing, compared to my PS4, you can certainly notice a difference.

This thing is a bit noisy, though it could be the one I bought. For the price it’s not bad and the picture and sound are great. It’s not as noisy with DVDs and it does a great job upscaling. I think this is good if you want to dip your toes into UHD Blu Rat, but you’re not willing to shell out a lot for a new player. I’m probably going to replace this in a couple of years, but it’s a start. I do like that I can control it with my TV’s remote. But it seems to need the internet to function properly. I don’t use it for streaming, since it doesn’t even have as many apps as my TV.

Very nice, compact player. The setup was very easy. It is much easier to use than my previous Sony, which was 5+ years old. This one works flawlessly.

This player does everything, and does it all well! It was easy to set up, is easy to use, and delivers a great picture. I love being able to either watch a DVD or Blu-Ray, or stream a show.

I should have updated my Blu Ray player years ago. This Blu Ray player is easy to setup and the high resolution is assume and it make streaming a breeze

So far I've had no problems with this player. It handles HDR10 and Dolby Vision as well as Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. It loads discs very fast and up converts standard Blu-rays nicely. WiFi speeds are about 18MBPS and has no issues streaming. My only complaint is that the power button is right on the left edge and it's so touchy that, if you are attempting to move the player around, you will always power it on. It also has no app store so you're stuck with the apps that it has without being able to download more. Other than that, it works perfectly.

I know - It's been several weeks since I bought this. But, it's great! We have only watched movies, though. I don't know if Netflix will work on it or not. We have not tried. When we do, I will u[date this, ok? Right now I have a phone that has been breeched - It was a Google breech, so everything is gone, as far as being useful. My software that I bought is not behaving correctly, but it does work, so I'm good with it just now. Phone is more important. Have a new Pixel 5. But, I'm 66 and absolutely lost on the thing! I've always had Motorolas. oh well....

I was looking to upgarde to a 4K player. I would highy recomend this one to anybody that is looking for one that plays just about any format and has a wonderful piture and sound.

This machine is great takes regular dvd’s And makes them crystal clear also allows you to stream example for me easily goes to my Netflix, Hulu and more. I would definitely recommend this player

Everything we watch on this DVD player looks fantastic. We have a 65" Sony TV and paired with this 4K player even the Blu-ray Discs that I watch look so much better due to the up-scaling feature.

I bought this Blu-ray player almost two years ago and it's a better value than I thought. East to use and it gives a remarkably sharp picture from regular DVDs.

This Sony unit exceeds my expectations on ease of use, loading and unloading dvds, upscaling is very good. It does it automatically.

This player was easy to hook up to both monitor and receiver. Also has hi-res audio playback for SACD's, DVDA and Blu-Ray Audio discs. Great functionality at a budget price!

I got a new 4K TV and wanted a companion BluRay player. After researching, this unit seemed to have everything I wanted. It's very easy to set up and movies lok great!

Easy setup and able to get running in less than 10 minutes. No issues playing DVDs or BR. Easily identified my shared files on my local network to stream my movies from my PC. No lag noted over wireless connection for network. Netflix, Hulu, and Youtube apps work flawlessly. Wish there was a way to add HBONow app not included. Two minor issues. When turning on unit, you will need to wait for device to connect to network if connected wirelessly. Secondly, if you leave device paused or at Netflix home screen too long, it may lock up and you will have to hold power button to cycle off device or unplug cord from back of player, wait 15 secs and plug back in.

Excellent 4K blu-ray player with multiple features. Streaming videos is a breeze and 4K movies look amazing. Older Blu-ray Disc show very well also.

Excellent player! I would highly recommend it! It can play 4K to DVDs. We have played our DVDs and they are so clear it is like watching a blu-ray.
