This model has been around for a while but for good reason. Very easy prompts to set up. Quick loads and good picture. A simple good value.

We have purchased this for few months now. It works great, no problems. Also it was a good price too at Best Buy!

Plays every disc i own. CD, DVD, Blue ray, 4khd and international. Awesome and convenient. Great pic and sound to my sound system

Picture quality is good and the size made the difference due to limited cabinet space. Added bonus, watching Netflix vs. buying another device.

Bought this on a limb to give our 4K movies a little more clearer picture and it works great! So far no problems, will continue buying Samsung products.

The 4K DVD player is a great little machine. Easy to set up and with plenty of streaming apps. We use it to access Amazon and Netflix. As players go this is a very nice one.

So far, so good. Blu-ray audio/video is fantastic. 4K is absolutely amazing. User friendly for simpletons like me. Still learning all of the features. Nice, sleek looking unit.. Might return for a 5 star after I use it more.

This player supports Dolby vision and HDR10. It also supports dts and dolby atmos sound. The picture looks amazing paired with my LG OLED TV.

So I just got this sony player to replace a LG 4k player that died on me. Compared to the setup on the lg player this thing was a beast to set up right. 1st you need to turn on Dolby Vision so it will display both HDR formats correctly, then there was trying to figure out why the standard Blu-ray disks were not playing back well. That took turning on the the 4k upscaling in the menus and it still needed an external usb flash drive to save your spot in the movie/setting a bookmark. All in all it's been kind of a learning curve trying to figure this player out. It wasn't plug and play like the LG player I previously had. But after a few days I got it down and it works great now. Just make sure to do your homework before you buy a new 4k player.

Player is easy to use and provides great picture quality. I am using projector with an overhead projector and it feels like I'm at the movie theatre

Small doesn't take up lots of space and give out everything you could ask for...4k and all your favorite apps wireless! Can beat it for the money!

I am very happy about the picture quality, even our older DVDs seem to have been enhanced. The limited number of apps is disappointing though. I guess I would like the ability to download some apps.

The Sony 4K blue ray player was easy to setup and play DVD’s ! The up scaling capabilities of this player produced almost 4K quality picture on normal blue ray DVD’s! I would recommend this as reasonably priced unit for home use!

I owned an older model Sony 4k and I loved the user interphase. Fo me it was a simple choice to go with another Sony. Simple to use and set up. The 4k scaler does a great job with both blu ray and dvd conversion. I had a small issue with audio sync going into my Onkyo receiver but it was easily fixed with the Sony correction software. WiFi works great but I use mine on a direct ethernet connection. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get into playing 4k disks. Streaming is great but still cannot compete with the picture and audio quality available on a disk.....

As all of my other entertainment system devices are of a different brand, I was hesitant to try this Sony 4K Blu Ray player. But with the brand I normally use not offering a 4K player at the moment, I went with Sony as the reviews were very good. I actually like the setup of the Sony player more than what I'm used to. It is much faster (yes, some of that is due to technological improvements since my last Blu Ray purchase) and provides a great quality picture.

Though possessing some technical memory losses, this Sony 4K Ultra HD DVD Player plays movies very well and, via the Remote, is full of other features, including the ability to readily access (if one already has these Steaming Services) Netflix, HULU, Prime Video, YouTube, and others, without switching any Input. The picture quality is excellent! BUT….there have been been instances during which I have had to unplug/re-plug the machine, because I could not get DVD access door to open, or because all memory for the Streaming Services had vanished. Bizarre!

Works as expected, nice compact size, easy to set-up. Was worth paying more to get a player capable of the resolution of my Sony Bravia tv.

So, why did I give it only 4 stars? This player puts out great quality pictures and sound. I continue to have problems getting it to work as it seems incompatible with my other equipment. We have an LG TV and a Denon sound system. You have to first align all of the stars and planets, then turn put a video in the slot and turn on the Sony player. After playing a movie, you have to put the stars and planets back in their proper orbit - once in a while, I have to unplug the media player to get the other equipment to work properly. Overall, we don't watch too many DVD/Blue Ray movies, so we adjust. I would buy one again simply because it was a lot less expensive than other brands and puts out a great quality experience.

We currently have a Sony 50" 4K in our master bedroom, but were lacking a matching blu-ray to match; that is now taken care of! The picture quality on the movies is simply off the hook, so I urge you to make a similar purchase if you have not already done so. Set up of the unit was seamless; it connected right up to our WiFi, did its initial updates, etc., and we were ready to go! Being that both the TV and the Blu-Ray are both Sony, the interface is seamless! Working well!

Works well. No complaints. Top picture quality. Control unit is easy to manage, and it plays lower lever DVD's without any trouble as well as UHD Disks.
