Love the Extra Sharpness from the 4K player. Makes old DVD look great too. Installed in minutes and was able to use my old Cables. Great stuff, easy to use.

Ultra slim, good picture quality. I only used it for DVD/Blue ray and very happy about it. I haven't tried other apps on the device.

This was very easy to set up, and of course has a great picture. I'm usually a Samsung user, but this Sony is probably just as good. And practically the same price.

If you have a 4K HDR tv - especially a Sony 4K tv - this player is the one you want, outstanding video and sound reproduction. We really enjoy watching 4k movies with this device.

I love the way my bluerays are enhanced to look so much better! All 4K movies, Blue-ray, and DVDs work here and the picture is phenomenal IF you have a TV that is 4K abilities.

Nice 4K bluray player because it has 2 hdmi connections 1 that carries audio and video straight to the tv and the other straight to a non 4K receiver. This connection allows you to keep an older non k receiver. You still get Dolby true and hd master audio 5.1 or 7.1 depending on how many speakers you have. You just don’t get the new Dolby atmos surround sound format which was fine with me because I didn’t want to purchase a new receiver so that I would have to add new ceiling speakers for Dolby atmos connection. .

Nice size, sleek unit. Great features with Dolby Vision and Atmos. Excellent picture quality on my 8 Series TCL. Very pleased with this product.

Hooked into my system and started using within a few minutes. I can enjoy Amazon Prime now with no buffering which is very enjoyable for us. Great quality, and Great Picture

Wanted a 4K player with LAN so I didn't need to use WiFi to stream Amazon or U-Tube. This 4K player is excellent and better than the other Sony Blu-ray players I have already. Just jam the ethernet cable into the 4K player and you are set if there is a network available after you log in. Fast streaming without delays. The dvd player is excellent too. A bit larger than the standard Sony Blu-ray player. Best Buy rep told me to get it instead of other brands. So go buy one!

Unit was easy to set up. Remote has better rage than old unit so I no longer have to stand to use it. Picture is also Better than old unit that was ten years old.

I purchased this player to upgrade my existing blue ray player in order to match my new 4K TV. It works great and performs as expected.

This 4K DVD player is just what I was looking for to pair with my LG OLED TV. The colors and clarity are amazing, and the sound is even better than with a regular Blu-Ray player.

Pros- Picture quality is great. Load time is fast Good 4k Upscaling for DVD and stand Blu-ray. Cons The UI is terrible. It is unintuitive, Slow and looks terrible. Settings are largely un-explained. Menu structure is unitivitve. The first software update it installed crashed system and froze it up. I had to hard reset it. Sony should work on it. I didn't even try to use the netflix or any other apps. If all you need is a 4K blu-ray player, this is a good option for a decent price. I bought this after my five year old LG player stopped working . Technology has changed a lot so I decided to get the latest and the best model . I compare this with a slightly more expensive 800 model from Sony and I found that this was definitely the better one. This is definitely a very high-quality product and since it’s from Sony you cannot go wrong with it . Sony might not be the big name that used to dominate televisions in last century but they definitely know how to make Blu-rays .

First ALL Blu RAYS freeze AND they need to be unplugged to reset them! This one has the best quality picture and sound of the several I owned over the years. While I do not believe in spending a lot for HDMI cables you MUST have Cables that have the highest tech built in. 4K, 3D, 2.0, Ethernet and 18 GPS for the beat performance. These you can buy for LESS than $10.

This is the first HD DVD player that has actually played an HD disc without skipping, stuttering, losing video and/or audio. Been through 3 other units..2 Samsung and 1 LG. Picture and sound are excellent. I will say that the brightness level on the HD discs, however, i slightly lower than regular bluray discs. But, it's clear and audio is spectacular. My only disappointment is the fact that it does not upscale regular dvd's. The other units played them beautifully, but not this one. I'm so tired I'm just giving up. Going to send my Samsung unit for service and hope it will ressurect to play cd's and upscale regular dvd's like it used to. I'll use two units, if I have to. I am so done. Works great for bluray and HD discs!

This is a great player. It's small, sleek and super easy to operate. I'd recommend it. You pay about $30 extra for the SONY name, but IMO it's worth it.
