Player works just fine with discs & streaming. Comes loaded with all Apps basic & can add on. Now, I just need a 4k TV to see its true brilliance

This player boots up quickly and Apps are a snap to access. The most popular apps are already pre -installed - not a biggie but it makes this unit truly plug and play. We have this player as well as our 4K TV connected to an Eero via Ethernet. While wireless is built in, if you plan on streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime in 4K, for best results be sure you have internet speeds that can handle that bandwidth and routers/modems that can match the speed provided. A wired hook-up will basically guarantee the best results with this player and your tv. 4K movies play brilliantly if you are simply using it for that purpose.

Does everything it is supposed to very well. Great images and does a good job streaming. Nothing to fancy but is easy to operate and use.

4K movies are just awesome great picture and sound. Movies load fast and this unit is very quiet. And being a SONY it should last like other Sony products we have had.

When i purchases this it was the only player that had Dolby Vision available for Sony TV's. It is a beautiful picture that i recommend, and the x900f TV to go with it.

Plays 4k, BR, and standard dvd's. 4k movies with hdr and sound come through great. Dolby digital up through 6.1, in all its forms (dts ex, etc), is automatically selected.

Does everything I expected. Easy to connect, easy to operate and provides great video and audio. Good price for what it does.

Watching a 4K movie on a decent compatible TV is nice. But when you watch a 4K movie with HDR and Dolby Atmos, well now you are really in for a treat. The picture quality is is amazing and the colors are very vibrant, it just makes everything look so much better than watching a 4K movie on other 4K players. This Sony is an awesome player with all the usual built in apps like Netflix and so on. The player will upscale movies that are not in 4K to 4K kind of. If you watch a movie in 4K that was actually filmed in 4K like the latest Mission Impossible movie was you will see what i'm writing about. Please ensure that you are using the proper HDMI cable for 4K when connecting to your TV (THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME) use a 4K compatible HDMI cable or you not be receiving a 4K signal to your TV.

Works great easy setup, wish it had more capability in adding apps, but otherwise, to play movies from DVD to 4K, great experience

This is an excellent blu-ray player at the right price. The picture it produces is outstanding and 1080p discs are up converted to appear to be 4k. The picture is close to perfect. It only takes a small footprint on your shelf. Others have complained about the lack of a front panel display but all you need to do is press the "display" button on the remote and all of the data appears on the bottom of your TV screen. Very satisfied with this purchase. So much so that I bought a 2nd one for another room.

I bought this to see what difference 4K dvd made. It’s outstanding the quality of pictures on my 4K tv. It was easy to setup and has a lot of streaming apps as well.

My Chinese projector doesn’t allow me to install or run Apps like YouTube or Netflix so the Sony 4K DVD player was my way around this. I had been using it for about an hour per day for the past year to watch YouTube while exercising on my stationary bike. Unfortunately, it stopped receiving my wireless signal from my ATT U-verse modem and I couldn’t get it corrected (still plays 4K DVDs however). I replaced it with the exact same model last month! Hope this one lasts longer than a year. I only used it for watching a few movies last year and I thought the DVD disk reader would wear out much faster than the wireless Apps connection!

Got a special deal on black friday. I decide to upgrade to a 4k player from blu ray. Loved Sony. Quality looks amazing. Worth it

This player finally deliver on Dolby Vision and has Dolby Atmos sound. A very good quality player with excellent sound and picture as you would exspect from Sony.
