I just wanna watch the current 4k formats till they release the os5 or the next Xbox comes out. It’s affordable light and easy to use.

My old Blu-Ray player lost its ability to stream, and it seemed like loading a disc took forever. While I don't have a large collection of discs I felt like I needed to buy a replacement. This Sony 4K Ultra HD loads discs quickly, and the streaming features extend the life of my older plasma TV (which I can't bear to part with). While the TV can't take full advantage of the Blu-Ray players 4K capability, the Sony produces an excellent picture. Great features at a great price... I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Bought this to go with my 4K TV and love it! In addition to the superb picture quality, I love the apps that come with it. Very easy to setup and use.

The unit has two HDMI ports in back. One puts out audio and video, the 2nd ONLY audio. This was useful given that I have an older receiver that can't handle the latest 4k and does not have eARC (only ARC) , so I send the audio only channel to the receiver and the AV channel to the TV. Gives me the best sound and 4k video until I can upgrade my receiver.

easy to set up ,and user friendly to work. Shows great picture and the sound through soundbar makes movies better.

Works great, easy to setup. Haven’t actually watched a 4K disc yet but the picture is great on our new OLED tv even with regular old Blu-ray.

Pros, 1. For the money it's great for 4k Dolby Atmos Dolby Vision movies. 2. Supports 3D movies as well as almost all the new formats. 3. Reads USB movies, music and pictures. 4. Had another HDMI pass through for receivers without an ARC HDMI port. Cons, 1. Not that sturdy of a build. 2. Limited when using to steam networks into your TV and/or receiver like for example no Dolby Vision with Netflix. 3. When playing files from a USB drive it's also limited on features when playing MKV file. I guess that's copy right protections.

The reason I purchased this is to extend Netflix in my bedroom. I direct connected to the wireless extender so there isn’t much lag in wireless. There is one unit the UBP-X800M2 that is better than this one and it’s in the living room. This unit is though doesn’t have all the bells and whistles but it is a very good unit. It is small too. For the cost it is a little high but it is worth it.

Love this Sony 4K Bluray player. Really goes well with a smart TV. Easy to use and program. Typical Sony quality.

Works great as both a 4K DVD player and a streaming device. Paired with my Sony TV, controls are so simplified.

This 4k player has high ratings & it works that way, has great picture & sound, is smaller in size but works great

The Sony UBP-X700 delivers a very crisp and vivid picture for the price. Audio sounded great as well and everything sounded crystal clear. I would have given this player 5 stars however the only issue I had with mine was the wifi performance. For some reason, mine was repeatedly asking me to sign on to the network every time I tried to use an app and it ended up being somewhat of a drawn out and long process every time. If you are buying soley as player it is an excellent choice for the money, however, if you're like me who also likes to have the option to use the apps then maybe hold on to your receipt just in case. I ultimately had to go with something else because of this.

So far I like the ease of setting it up ,the Netflix access and it has a quality feel to it . Have not used the 4K feature yet can’t wait to try it .
