Good DVD player with streaming options

Great Streaming Ultra HD Unit

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this unit a while back and never hooked it up, but my moms player was so old it wouldn't recognize regular DVD's any more so I gave my older unit to her so she could watch all of her DVD's. The Sony 4K Ultra HD / Blu-Ray player was easy to set up and start using it with all of my DVD/Blu-Ray library. I still want to sell my Samsung 55" TV so I can purchase a 4K unit and then I will be able to review the unit completely. But everything is very good so far.

Great BR player

I never look at other brands, ever. Picked this up without thinking twice and I have no regrets. It’s future proof and works as I need it to. The only down-side for me was the price. I delayed the purchase and missed out on the holiday pricing. The interface looks cleaner than my older model but the navigation is still unimpressive. That said, I bought the BR to watch BRs, not to stream. If I want to stream I use a streaming device. The picture is excellent. I don’t have a 4k tv, yet, so can’t say much about that and the upscaling. I recommend the player.
