Best player ever. Keep in mind that some movies try to make the picture better, some look great and others not so great. You see the magic happens by the maker of the disc. Even if the player works great sometimes the maker of the movie fails at the effects department. Hope this helps you better understand how players work.

Bluray players in the last two years have been given a short life span. I hope this one lasts me. The picture is great. As long as it lasts, I'll be happy for years to come. The price was high but I'd rather pay a high price if the machine works. So far it's have very light use and I've only owned it for a couple of months. I took away one star because of the need for double HDMI cables which were useless and extremely difficult to figure out.

I've had this unit a few months now and it has worked quite well. The Dolby Vision implementation is terrible, once turned on everything says it's Dolby Vision even when the source is not. I hope a future software update will fix this. The remote is usable but misses the 10 second rewind and forward buttons on my older regular Blu-Ray only players. This is very useful and I miss it so I use the older remote. Kudos to Best Buy, after I bought it the price went down another $20 and they adjusted the price.

Reasonable price 4K Player - plays everything and picture and sound are great!

I have had a 4K tv for awhile. Took awhile for me to get a 4K Blu-ray player due to the price and when it finally went on sale I bought it. The picture is incredible. Highly recommend making the switch.

It's got it all for the best price. 4K UHD, HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. I use it strictly for disc format, either Blu-rays or 4K blu-rays. Some newer 4K discs have Dolby Vision which looks absolutely amazing. The settings are a little cumbersome but you really only have to switch from "dolby vision" to just "auto" if you're not watching true "dolby vision" content.

I actually found it by accident one day at the store, but so far so good. Husband uses it a lot more than I do but has had no complaints. I’m pretty sure it automatically detects when it’s on and switches to that hdmi, which is nice (I’m not sure if he set that up or if it’s a default setting). Picture is good. So far no lagging.
