Took awhile for me to get a 4K Blu-ray player due to the price and when it finally went on sale I bought it. The picture is incredible. Highly recommend making the switch.

Excellent Replacement Player!

I set it up in my "Man Cave" with my 82" QLED 4K TV and the picture is superb. I moved my Samsung into the Living room where we have a smaller screen TV to replace the older Blu-ray player.

Great picture Dolby Vision implementation is bad

The Dolby Vision implementation is terrible, once turned on everything says it's Dolby Vision even when the source is not. I hope a future software update will fix this. The remote is usable but misses the 10 second rewind and forward buttons on my older regular Blu-Ray only players. This is very useful and I miss it so I use the older remote. Kudos to Best Buy, after I bought it the price went down another $20 and they adjusted the price.

Does the job without too many extras. Integrates well with all the other sony stuff / remotes with no extra setup. With the proliferation of smart tvs, smart soundbars, smart BD players, appleTV, roku, chromecasts, etc - not sure why anyone needs too many frills on a BD player. Has 'em. Don't use them.
