This was purchased as a replacement for a standard blu-ray player that had failed. I am not using it for streaming as I already have a smart TV for that so I can only comment on it’s performance as a player. The picture quality is excellent and the playback is smooth. The remote is a bit of a disappointment and lack of backlight also doesn’t help.

I was interested in the Blu-ray and DVD upscaling 4K picture quality. I didn't need the streaming apps. However, this model and price met my needs. The picture quality of the disc player is outstanding. It provides a high-resolution 4K experience that is sharp and vibrant.

The streaming elements are not as good as my Roku or Fire Stick so I will likely not use those. The picture is good, but it will only be good if you invest in a good TV to go along with it. I do believe the price could be lower, but with the death of physical media on the horizon, these units will likely increase in price moving forward.
