Nice replacement player

This was purchased as a replacement for a standard blu-ray player that had failed. I am not using it for streaming as I already have a smart TV for that so I can only comment on it’s performance as a player. The picture quality is excellent and the playback is smooth. The remote is a bit of a disappointment and lack of backlight also doesn’t help.

Great 4k Video player

Now this 4K player is exactly what EVERYONE who owns a 4K TV needs to complete their 4K viewing experience..Picture is Phenomenal, sounds great..Highly recommended!

I don't need the streaming apps, i have other devices for that, but the blu ray player is a distinct upgrade from the XBOX one X i was using before. DVDs, Blu Rays, and 4k UHD Blu rays all look and sound amazing with this. I really appreciate the dolby Vision and HDR10 support, If i could add one thing it would be HD10+ support.

When the price dropped below $200, I thought it was a good time to move to 4K. It does everything I need it to do... good picture, good sound, etc. The streaming feature is nice, although I already have a smart TV so I don't really use it.

The streaming elements are not as good as my Roku or Fire Stick so I will likely not use those. The picture is good, but it will only be good if you invest in a good TV to go along with it. I do believe the price could be lower, but with the death of physical media on the horizon, these units will likely increase in price moving forward.

This performs the same function but does not have a amplifier. The new Sony sound Bar provides the amplification. This combination works great and comes on instantly. My old system took about 30 seconds to start up all the attached components.
