This unit is so easy! Great picture and sound quality, upscale normal DVD's to near blu- ray quality. I have this unit paired with a Visio 4K. With everything powered off, all you have to do is turn on the player and it automatically turns on the TV and switches to the proper input. My wife loves this.

So far so good. Responds fast to opening and closing. It is normal speed on recognizing the DVD/Blu-Ray in the tray. Our last blu-ray was a samsung and it took forever to respond and then would open and close constantly. This Sony seems to be pretty solid so far. The video quality meets my expectations and the menu setup is user friendly.

4K looks great. Good value for the price. Does all that it’s supposed to.

So far so good. I've had several Blu Ray players over the years. Sonys have always been the best. This one I've had over a month, an still not an issue yet . Plays Blu Ray and dvd perfect. Not sure about the 4k or streaming, buy I am very happy with the later results!

This Sony provides and excellent picture and sound. Menu is easy to navigate and the streaming apps that come with it provide me with apps that I can't get on my LG tv. I highly recommend this product and am thinking of getting another one for the bedroom.

Not much of an upgrade from sony blu ray player regarding menu, setup, etc. In fact, fewer apps to install than previously available on blu ray player. Playback of 4k discs is great with a 4k HDMI cord, does upscale dvd, blu ray, and streaming services (to a certain degree). Have never had a problem with Sony products.

I read the many reviews on this player prior to purchase. Due to the pandemic, I ordered it online and then went to the store and waited for them to deliver it to me. It was an easy set up, the picture quality is awesome and it was well worth the money.

Set up was simple. While I have a lot of older DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, I only have a few newer ones that can take advantage of the units capabilites. One the few newer Ble-Rays that I have, the picture passed through to my new TV is nothing short of amazing!

Have used Sony products for many years. Easy to use, good picture, plus streaming.

Ordered the Sony Blu-Ray player as our retirement gift to ourselves. It was shipped on time and arrived in great shape. Within an hour I had it hooked up to our Denon receiver and playing our movies. Very good quality and fits cleanly into our media cabinet.

Tired of hearing how great the Panasonic 820 is. I'm sure I'm not alone in that feeling. The Sony X700 is a great player and mine is working perfectly. Yes I have to manually switch between Dolby Vision and HDR10. It's a bug and I'm sure someday Sony will fix it....

Received this for Christmas (ok, so I bought it on Black Friday for myself for $120) along with a couple 4K movies. I have to say adding this to my Sony 4K TV, has added an extra level of picture quality. It was easy to setup and had it ready to go in just a couple of minutes.

Very good 4k quality. Best part about sony over others is they have separate sound output over hdmi. i.e. i can send 4k directly to tv or projector and send 5.1 or 7.1 sound to my old non 4k receiver over two separate hdmi outputs and every thing is perfect. No need to upgrade to new 4k receiver.

Sound that comes from the sound bar is very nice and it is very easy to use.
