Excellent Blu Ray player for the use. Decent price and quality

The player got an update as soon as it was running. This update added Dolby Vision HDR capabilities to the player. I have played both 4k HDR10 movies and Dolby Vision movies on the player. Both look great. To get Dolby Vision you must allow it in the setup. Once that is done it works great.

This was my first 4K player and it's amazing! It's clean looking (visually and as a physical product) and it's reliable so no complaints. I know people were saying it feels cheap but honestly that doesn't even matter. It does what it's meant to do so that's all that matters.

So, i recently got some BLU RAY DVDs and my old BD DVD player would not play them for some reason. I did a ton of research and, made a decision to buy this one. It plays all BD DVDs i have and the important aspect was to ensure it will play all my 3D DVDs, which it perfectly does. So, I mainly use this for music and DVD and i am very very happy. I dont know if other features like netflix are good since i have that on my TV. But, as a player, it is very compact, works well, and fits well with my decor.

I wanted to upgrade to a 4K Ultra HD player but held off until I was convinced of the quality and dependability. Sony has been a leader in quality for TV's for a long time. I'm really impressed with this player. It was super easy to install. It works smoothly and delivers the quality I wanted.

Finally replaced my 12 year old player and we are finally seeing and hearing movies the way they are intended. Shame on me for waiting so long. My wife was skeptical but she was very impressed with the difference it has made. Well worth the money.

It does what it's supposed to do, plays a great pic and sound and it was reasonably priced at the time. It was purchased as a second unit for the master bedroom. Hardly notice it even there. It loads pretty fast when a new disc is inserted.

Works great & plays anything. My old DVD player was so old & big & made a terrible noise sometimes when using it was hard to enjoy. Also it started shutting off randomly when using. So I was happy to upgrade. & the price was very nice.

The 4K video quality as tested with Planet Earth II 4K disc and sound quality tested via YouTube sound test videos are exceptionally good with this 4K Bluray player. No need to spend money on more expensive players. Buy this and you will be very pleased.

Nice 4K player! Crisp image and easy control screen. The only annoying thing is it automatically turns on whenever the tv turns on. There may be a way to stop that in the settings but I just keep the player unplugged unless I need to use it.

No issues with this player after watching several movies on it. There is an annoyance in that it will not auto switch to dolby vision automatically so it's on you to toggle it on if the movie supports it. For the price though I can't complain too much since most players in this price point don't support DV at all.

Along with my smart tv, this player is a nice addition. Player is a “smart player” complete with apps for Netflix, Hulu, Crackle , and a some more apps for complete entertainment. Along with my HTST5000 audio system, when watching 4K and Blu-ray movies, it’s like being in a theatre!

Another winner from Sony. Great player, highly recommend. Did a lot of research but couldn't pass this model up for the price. Third blue ray player I've purchased from Sony and all are still working perfectly. Tempted by other brands offering free movies but I appreciate quality.

Ultra high resolution makes for great playback and this Sony doesn’t disappoint! Whether watching movies through the satellite or a dvd or even a sporting event broadcast in high- def, the picture comes out very clean with little or no distortion!!

Bought this since we now have a 4K tv.and I was able to use my rewards to save money on the purchase. Blu-ray and DVD’s look amazing but we purchased a 4K movie recently and We we’re disappointed. The 4K movie looked no better than the Blu-ray disk. We won’t be buying any 4K content anytime soon. But DVDs and Blu-ray have more POP visually.

I moved my Xbox one x to the basement and needed a 4k blu ray player for my oled. This guy exceeded my expectations by adding dolby vision to regular blu ray's, as long as the option is turned on in the settings.

I've watch a couple movies on this and the picture quality is great.I don't have the 4K HDMI cables which are recommended. I am currently using the standard HDMI cable. the remote is a typical Sony remote, kind of small and gets lost in the couch cushions easily.

The DVD player plays 4K HDR content really well (at least as far as my eyes can see). It is cheaper than some models and the exterior does feel cheap. I am not too rough with it, but if I had kids I could see it getting damaged. So the price is great. The playback is great, but the cosmetics and feel are cheap. But for the price I thought it was great.

I love my new blu-ray player. I have had no problems with it and I get a beautiful picture when I play my blu-ray movies. I highly recommend this for anyone in the market for a good player and doesn't want complications!
