This is fantastic. When my old one gave up the ghost, I simply went by reviews as there are so many products out there like this. This Sony even plays old cds. It seems to even make my nice Pioneer receiver sound better. Recommend!

Had to update a new player as the old one would not take Blue-Ray discs any longer. Hooked it up in minutes and it sounds and looks great through my 7.1 speaker system. Price was right during Christmas season and Best Buy's sale.

Excellent quality and name for a great value. The picture is so crisp and clear. This 4K dvd pairs well with its family member the Sony 4K XBR950. What a difference a great DVD player and TV make in the watching experience.

So, this will play your 4k discs and look great, but Sony has made some puzzling choices regarding the menu system, among other things. You need to go into the menu to enable Dolby Vision and disable it when not watching a Dolby-encoded disc or else everything will be treated as Dolby vision. Its a bizarre and annoying choice that mars an otherwise fine player.

We watched a bunch of old black and whites on our new 4K TV and the video quality was so much nicer thanks to the upscaling of our Sony 4K Player. As soon as I can find a 4K movie I like, I'm sure it'll be amazing!

I like the fact that this player actually tries to improve the picture quality of my DVDs and blueray movies. This with the UHD TV, I can see all the dark scenes better... So much detail, I'm going through all my movies to see what I have been missing.

This is easy to use, easy set up, quality is really good

Awesome!! Very easy to set up. If I can do it, anyone can. Remote worked well with the unit as well as hooking it up to My surround sound. Yes, you could buy less expensive units, but Don't, this one is worth the extra dollar.

Works great so far. This is my 2nd Sony 4K player after my first Sony UHD-x800 stopped working after 2 years. I got this for almost half off so hey, why not give this model a chance. Thanks Best Buy

We bought this as an addition to another Blu-Ray player we already have. However, this unit also has 4K UHD capabilities and any movie we now purchase will be in 4K UHD format. This player delivers superb picture quality, especially on our Sony 4K TV. A good purchase we say.

Upgraded my prior Sony unit with this one and I'm glad that I did. The picture is better on the Sony Z-series 4K television and the sound is also improved. Bluray disc load times have dropped too. Highly recommended Sony and this player.

I really like this Sony - Streaming 4K Ultra HD player. It really takes the viewing experience up a notch over standard HD. Also I can tell by the weight and how smoothly the tray opens and closes that this is a durable player.

Works great, the overall size is a lot smaller than the previous 4k player. Quite a bit lighter than the previous model. Only thing I didn't like was the remote was significantly smaller. Didn't fit my hand very well.

I bought this because of its ability to play SACDs (via HDMI, since most modern receivers under $2k don't have old-school 6 channel direct input), and I couldn't be happier, given the price. I already have recommended it to friends.

Plays 4k great! Plays other bluray and DVDs with great picture and sound also. Only dislike is it doesnt remember where I was at in the movie if I stop the movie and go to play it again. Oh well...small thing for an otherwise great value and great quality.

I bought this to replace a BD player I purchased years ago. It was the first DB player Sony had with WIFI built in. It still worked, but we felt like it was time to upgrade to something a little newer with a better picture quality for our 4K TV.

Bought it to pair with my Sony Bravia XBR 65" TV. Works well and picture is great. Ford vs Ferrari HDR is amazing in his unit. Does well with old DVD's too. The only word of caution, don't buy this for its APP offering. Get a Roku instead.

I got this for Christmas and I like how clear the movies are this is my first 4k ultra Blu-ray player so I don`t have any thing to compare it to but I like what I see so far. This Blu- ray player is easy to use and it does no take up a lot of space.
