This unit works great, was easy to set up, and gives all of the features that it talks about. I mainly just use it for watching physical discs with movies but I'm very happy with the way it plays DVDs, Blu-Rays, and 4K UHD Blu-Rays.

Nice lower priced BlueRay player with Wifi features. I don't use most of the WiFi apps and we just use it for a 4K BlueRay player on a big 82" TV. The image quality is stunning and the little unit does a great job.

Stepped into this Sony from another well known brand Blu-Ray player and I am extremely happy with the change. The build quality is excellent and with all the features and technology included, the player is somewhat future proof. Setup was easy, although once I got it connected to the WiFi it needed to download a large firmware update. Not a big deal, and only took a few minutes with my wi-fi connection, but just be aware you'll have that to do out of the box. There is also no HDMI cable included so you'll need to use your existing cable or buy a new one if you don't have one laying around. Picture quality is great and unlike my last Blu-Ray player, this one doesn't make noise when the disc is spinning or the movie is playing. That alone makes it worth it for me. Aside from how quiet it is, connecting to Netflix, Amazon or Hulu apps is easy and seamless. Audio is clear and crisp and I have had no issues with anything on the player after several weeks of use. The settings menu gives you the ability to change just about any setting you want based on your setup (TV size; soundbar or surround; bitstream or PCM; etc etc). Many options allow for auto detection so if you're not sure, leave it on auto. One setting I would recommend changing is the feature that allows the unit to be controlled via HDMI. With this setting on, when you turn on your TV, the player automatically turns on too. If that's what you want, then it's already set. But if you usually just turn on your TV to watch TV, it will get annoying having to constantly turn off the device. All in all, this unit does everything it promises and it does it very well. It's a small device that is lightweight and looks sleek and minimal from the front. Yes, the front facade is plastic, but the main unit is aluminum and feels very sturdy. Don't be fooled by the pictures that make it look like it's all plastic. This is a high quality unit at a reasonable price point. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a 4K blu-ray player with streaming capability.

Purchased this to compliment our new Sony 85" Magnolia 4K TV. The great thing about two SONY products is that they work together and are integrated at the software level, so setup was a breeze. A nice for instance is that when you turn on the player, you can adjust a setting so that the TV automatically comes on. It plays extremely well, not only 4K discs, but it also up converts standard Blu Ray discs to near 4K, and even regular DVDs look better. The only negative, there is one limitation which is a minor irritation - you have very little flexibility in terms of Apps that you load. However, the smart TV really takes over that role - we only use this to play discs - the TV does all the streaming, so it's not a big deal. Overall, GREAT value for the money, especially if you have a SONY TV to go with it.

We previously had owned a DVD player made by a different company and it quit working in less than 6 months. It was also more complicated to use and slower to respond. This Sony player is easy to operate, responds quickly, and has useful apps installed with it.

I already have had several New sony Blu-ray and even UHD players, so I knew what to expect as far as interface and general features went. My main reason on getting this player was getting something that could play back dolby vision, which this player does.

It worked, the quality looked nice, I haven't experienced any skipping or anything so I liked it. I have a 55" tv but I think I need a bigger tv to actually notice the difference between this and a cheaper one though.

It was easy to connect (I do not yet have a 4K television) and works well. There was no problem getting Amazon Prime and Netflix running. Like many recent players, it has no front panel display, which is a disappointment (but I knew that when I bought it).

All the best features but plastic/ cheap feeling. Movies on uhd Blu-ray’s still look and sound better than streaming to me, if you are like that it’s worth to purchase.

Teamed with my Hisense 55” and a Sony Ultra 4K BluRay player, I’m totally satisfied with the way this sound bar performs. Low and high volume settings are crisp and clear. I live in a senior’s trailer park, so I can’t crank it up. But, I want to!

Works well. Excellent picture on my Epson 5040UB Projector. Not sure what the difference was with this one and the next expensive one but, I think you would be pleased if you saved the cash and bought this one.

Easy to set up and easy to use with high quality picture

Okay, I say this because I have so many units I'm loosing track of their differences. However the recent few I have purchased have been generating an excellent picture on my screens and audio is good. Wi-Fi is problem free.

I picked this particular model based on the positive past reviews. They make them so compact now. The feature I liked most was the button on the remote control that turns on the subtitles for the movie, very handy and easy!

This is my second Sony 4K Blu-ray player. It is not as good as the first one. The construction is not as solid, and the remote is dated compared to the other player. Most people probably would not even consider it an issue at all. I got this on sale, for about $180. Think it’s worth $150.

Great player. Displays an amazing picture and has a great look to it. Overall I was impressed. It might not be expensive but I would definitely recommend this for the amazing picture and sound quality.

Sony is my first choice for blu-ray players and audio products in general. I was looking for a BR player with support for ARC so we could connect a 5.1 soundbar and this is perfect. Audio and picture quality is great even in non 4k tvs.

Excellent 4K ultra hi hi resolution audio wi-if built in blu-ray player. A must buy if you just upgrade your TV to 4K OLED. Fantastic picture clarity and audio.

This is a great Blu-ray and Sacd player. There are a lot of customizable parameters and the sound and video output are great when comparing to 2 year ago offerings and I would recommend to anyone especially if you play or may want to check out SACD's.
