I found this Blu Ray player on sale to replace an old DVD player. Wow what an improvement even on standard DVDs. Good product for the regular price but if you find it on sale you shouldn’t pass it up.

I recently purchased this newer Sony Blu Ray DVD player. It replaces an older model by Sony. Right out of the box the setup was easy and quick and it connected to my WiFi network easily. The video is exceptional. Really glad I made the purchase.

I'm sure there are much more expensive/ better players. However for the quality to price point I'm extremely satisfied. 4k on disc is even better than 4 k streaming in my Opinion

I got this on sale and for the price, this is an excellent purchase. It supports Dolby Vison and Atmos as well as DTS X. This unit is same and slick looking and loaded with features. Buy with confidence, it's the a really good unit.

Have enjoyed this product since we got it. No problems connecting or using it at all. As with all new electrical equipment a software update was suggested before using. I get a great quality 4K picture on our 4K tv!

Handles bluray and regular DVDs the same. Quality and playback are excellent. I have no issues with this unit and have owned for a few months now as my wife and I rent a lot from redbox this was a perfect purchase.

Great for watching 4k content. Great image quality. One downside, the player has Dolby vision playback buy it has to be turn on and off manually, no automatic detection and switch of playback. But for the price and feature it's and excellent player and I can get passed the Dolby vision setback

Smooth, slick, lightweight device I love it. It comes with a nice small remote control. Easy to read the remote is very easy to use . The dvd easily plays my Blu-rays, music cds, and my old dvds.

Straightforward setup. I chose the x700 over the x800 as my new tv has Dolby Vision. The picture and audio quality from this player is phenomenal. I am now building my collection of 4k UHD Blu-rays. I highly recommend this Blu-ray player.

I have had players that take 30 seconds to open the tray. This player has no lag time compared to my others. when you put a movie in it starts up quickly. Picture quality is great.

Bought this DVD/Blu-ray player because my current Sony player could no longer play Netflix movies. Love the ease of using all the new features, but doesn't play movies any better then the old player. I noticed that some Blu-ray's freeze mid way when playing, other then that, a good player.

Needed to upgrade my bluray player from 7 years ago because it was at the end of its life and not recognizing some bluray disks. Thought it was time to upgrade to a 4k bluray and bought this on sale.

User-friendly oh, excellent picture and sound, quick loading, Etc. Sony is the best for 4K players and surround sound receivers. I am very very pleased with it and recommend it to anybody looking to upgrade your 4K Movie experience.

You will notice the UBP-X700 has a big brother in Sony's line up, the UBP-X800. The UBP-X700 model is however the more advanced unit, considering the addition of Dolby Vision Decoding. Dolby Industries has a very large footprint in the entertainment business and movies using their encoding process are only going to become more prevalent. Although, the robust build indicated by the decidedly heavier UBP-X800 is also an appreciable difference between the players to be considered. I have used the UBP-X700 for several weeks and have enjoyed many movies and TV shows played by it. The UBP-X700 is virtually silent in operation and responds to the remote instantly without having to "aim" at the player. I can't give any opinion on longevity yet but I can say its Audio/Video performance has kicked-off a great start.

I chose the UBP-X700 based on reviews from several tech blogs. It rated higher than the X800 which is more expensive. I have to say I have not been disappointed in it's performance. I have had it for about a month now and have had no issues.

I wasn't too sure about which blu-ray player to purchase so after reading many reviews I decided on this one. Easy to hook up to the tv and the set-up was relatively easy. Great playback and also at an excellent price.

Does what I needed, plays 4K DVDs. Low profile was important with this going on the mantle. There are smart features, but don't buy this for the those. Buy it to be used as a high quality 4K dvd player

Much better system. I was very pleased with the quality. The picture and sound were so much more improved than on other brands. Thinking of selling off my others and purchasing 3 more of these

I have a 4K TV that supports "Dolby Vision" so it only made sense to make use of it by purchasing a 4K Blu-ray player that supports it as well. It does everything it needs to do. Regular, non-4K Blu-rays look even better (I watched all of the James Bond films with this player, and even the movies from the '60's looked even better.) The great thing about this device having streaming services is that they would support 4K content (if offered) as this is a 4K capable device. I usually use my PS4 for streaming Netflix, etc., but it isn't a 4K device, so if you don't have a "smart" 4K TV, having the services on the player is good for that. Along with the player, I recommend an HDMI cable that supports 4K. Not all of them do. So just make sure it has the correct specs.

this is a true 4k player not just an upscaling wannabe. it is sharp and clear. it even processes much faster than the 4k upscaling players. a real good choice for my 4k home theater. would recommend this product to everyone!
