I wasn't too sure about which blu-ray player to purchase so after reading many reviews I decided on this one. Easy to hook up to the tv and the set-up was relatively easy. Great playback and also at an excellent price.

I chose the UBP-X700 based on reviews from several tech blogs. It rated higher than the X800 which is more expensive. I have to say I have not been disappointed in it's performance. I have had it for about a month now and have had no issues.

I have a 4K TV that supports "Dolby Vision" so it only made sense to make use of it by purchasing a 4K Blu-ray player that supports it as well. It does everything it needs to do. Regular, non-4K Blu-rays look even better (I watched all of the James Bond films with this player, and even the movies from the '60's looked even better.) The great thing about this device having streaming services is that they would support 4K content (if offered) as this is a 4K capable device. I usually use my PS4 for streaming Netflix, etc., but it isn't a 4K device, so if you don't have a "smart" 4K TV, having the services on the player is good for that. Along with the player, I recommend an HDMI cable that supports 4K. Not all of them do. So just make sure it has the correct specs.

This is a neat Blu-Ray Player! It doesn't take up a lot of space in the home theatre set up and does not lack in quality.

this is a true 4k player not just an upscaling wannabe. it is sharp and clear. it even processes much faster than the 4k upscaling players. a real good choice for my 4k home theater. would recommend this product to everyone!

This is a great, simple player. It does exactly what it needs to and is very easy to use. I have a ton of DVDs still and this player makes it simple when I don't want to or can't stream what I want.

So far what I have experienced this product works pretty well, its functionalities are good for the price you pay and is easy to play with the Menu Options while watching a Blu-Ray, much better than a Panasonic, for instance.

I've been waiting to pull trigger on getting a 4K Blu-ray player. Found on sale, couldn't resist. This player has been rated the best for a long time. The x800-M2, now has the same bells & whistle, but it's $100 more.

I bought this 4K player based on online review sites. So far, I have had no problems and this player has performed as promised. Also, looks really nice in my component rack where I have all Sony components.

This is a great 4k blu-ray player! Very fast. Great picture quality. A must have for movie lovers! Sony has always delivered with really good quality blu-ray players. This is no exception!

Bought this to replace an older player and it is an excellent upgrade. Easy to set up and operate and the picture is outstanding. I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade to 4K.

Great quality player. The picture and sound quality is what you would expect from a unit of this caliber. The streaming is also on par, though I do not use it exclusively on this device.

After losing an older DVD player that had stopped functioning, I needed to replace with another. This one was easy to install and operate. Has many features that I don’t use but my husband probably will.

This machine will pay 4K UHD blu rays, and upscale your 1080p blu rays to 4K. I don’t use it for streaming but it has all the options available. Sony products never seem to let me down.

I needed to purchase a new DVD player and chose this one. After reviewing the features I knew I chose the right one. Great features for the price. Would recommend this all day long; pricey but worth it.

Well, this player supports Dolby Vision which was a defining feature for me. It made a difference on a couple movies I'd watched on my One X. I havn't had any technical issues so far, but time will tell. For the price, it's hard to beat.

I’ve had some problems with 4K players recently and out of the ones I’ve had lately, this is the best. It offers picture and sound better than standard Blu-ray players. I recommend it.

I really like how Dolby Vision material, this player, and my 4K TV combine to manage the settings for a great picture. The player even makes existing 1K (1080 HD) Blu Rays look great. I prefer some movies as discs and not streaming, so I am slowly building a small disc library.

Sony makes accurate and inexpensive players, and has for a while. This is no different and even outputs 24hz on Amazon and Netflix. New Dolby Vision update works well. If you want an inexpensive DV and HDR10 player, this is a good buy.

Returned a LG blue ray player because of trouble connecting to Netflex which I had no problem with this sony unit. Still trying to get content from my computer on to the TV thru the family network.
