Bought a Panasonic blue ray 7 years ago and we hardly ever used it. It was so darn slow. This player puts it to shame. Blue rays and ultra hd disks load up really fast. The player is easy to use. And it was on sale.

Great product easy to use plays DVD blue ray and music cds best purchase I made to watch movies I already have and not having to buy multiple electronics to make everything work!

This is a quality player so far. Its quiet and haven't had any issues as of yet. Hopefully it will stand the test of time. I have had other Sony Blu-Ray/DVD players in the past and they have all worked until the day I upgraded.

We decided to upgrade as our older Blu-Ray needed replacing, We purchased this Sony and it has excellent picture and sound. Great product and highly recommend this for a mid price player.

This DVD player is a one stop shop! It not only plays the 4K DVD’s (and has the cabling outlets to the sound system - sound bar) but it plays all our old DVD’s! This thing is Awesome!

nice looking, simple to set up, a little sensitive to fingerprints, i had to clean the first two disc's because of them freezing up. i just make sure the disc is clean before playing and its good to go. i like the smart feature too though i dont use it a lot.

This unit has worked flawlessly. It rapidly loads DVDs, blu-rays, and 4K discs and plays them without a hitch. The only snag has been the audio sync. But I don't think I can blame it on the disc player. I think it is a delay inherent with the Samsung TV and soundbar. I have run the same discs through the Samsung setup and also a Sony Bravia TV setup and the Sony displays perfect sync. And it's the same 4K player. so I'm going to have to contact Samsung I guess and see if there's a way to get better sync. but the player itself is flawless. And I remember the days when it would take a minute or more for a Blu-ray disc to play!

Picked this up when it was on sale for $150 and it was definitely worth it. If you're looking for a quality 4K player that also does streaming, this is a good one to get.

I connect it to my Samsung TV. Followed the instructions. It worked great. I've had this for two weeks now. Enjoying some 4K Blu-rays. Loads quickly and played without any problems.

I love to watch movies and previously owned the Samsung k8500 (the first 4k bluray player on the market). This player is much faster when it comes to fast-forward/rewind, and the interface is much quicker/more responsive. Since the DV update, if you use a receiver with 2 hdmi outputs plugged into the same TV, the picture may not come up. This could very well be a firmware glitch on my receiver (vsx-lx302) and pioneer support seems to think it's my hdmi cables, which are 4k certified hdmi premium cables that work with everything else I have on my system, but with only 1 hdmi outputting to the TV and disabling the sub output of the receiver, it works perfectly. Hears hoping a firmware will fix my dual output to the same TV. Other than that one issue, I love this player.

This dvd player meets all my needs. Plays dvd's and plays burned BD-R discs which is the reason I bought it. Picture quality is worlds above my last Blu-Ray player. Definitely worth the money.

Small footprint and works great with my system. Easy to use with a common sense remote control. Only has hdmi outputs, so beware if you are not setup for just hdmi.

Ok price. Ok player. Wasn't sure what to say about it. It's just ok. Kinda ordinary. But anyhow....it plays well, no glitching, good picture, easy to use remote. Hey...it's Sony. It's ok.

This Blu-Ray Player does the job and compliments my 4K Sony Bravia TV. Great for your true 4k movie watching needs! I would recommend for anyone in the market for a blu-ray player.

I could not decide between the Oppo ( at about 3 1/2 times the price) and the Sony do I figured I’d try the Sony first. I am very satisfied. It gives sound and picture equal to a much more expensive device.

The set up was easy. Connected to my TV using the HDMI cable. The sound bar fits very well with the 65 inch TV. Sound is amazing. If you can, consider the rear speaker set.

Faster than an older model Blu-ray player. Like that it has two HDMI ports - one for 4k resolution to the TV, the other for an older receiver. Biggest complaint is that you can't add apps such as Disney+

Had the sony blu ray player and started buying the 4k blu ray movies and already had the 4k tv. definitely noticed the difference between the two. would recommend and very easy set up. don't forget the 4k hdmi also

We wanted a 4K player, and this one ws rated the best, on top of that it was on sale. When looking at electronics, always check out Besr Buy vbefore you make that purchase,

This is the first Blu ray player that I've purchased, and I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to have purchased one. I'm amazed at how great the picture and sound qualities are.
