Watched a Jimmy Stewart western from a regular DVD on a 75” screen, it was crystal clear and looked like it had been filmed in HD.

Solidly built unit, superb pictures. Physical discs may become a thing I’d the past one day, but having the bad boy around will allow you to always play your physical discs.

So far, so good. Up-scaling feature is nice - old DVD's appear to be a bit sharper than before. Wishing for a non-drawer disc feeding system, but, for the price, I'll take this just fine.

Really impressed with the X700. Very fast on-time, lots of apps, responsive controls, and most importantly GREAT picture on my Sony 4K TV. Standard BluRay takes on new life and 4K ... mind-blowing! Buy It!

After having connection issues with a samsung product, bought this Sony model. Very easy to set up (even with my no name brand, "dumb TV"). Netflix streams perfectly. My only complaint (hence 4 stars) is the very low volume....requiring me to jack up the TV volume to almost maximum.

Excellent picture, convenient hookup, and superb sound through the DVD-A and SACD disc players. The High Resolution audio capabilities are why I bought the player.

As the replacement for our old DVD player, this one is MILES ahead of what we used to have. Less bulky and handling Blue-Ray, it’s what was needed for our system.

Very easy to set set up. Plays well out of the box. The remote is simple and easy to use. This is a another fantastic Sony product added to my all Sony hone theatre system.

Paired with a Samsung 4K tv; beautiful picture. Sony menu easy to navigate and apps include Vudu (for connecting to my digital library). Nice investment.

Great 4K DVD player. Tried BD and standard DVD's but quality of video output is very good. Remote control is rather small and could be slightly larger for better handling. I inserted a USB drive with VOB files and it worked very well.

Great player, I am very happy with it so far. It really makes a difference watching 4K movies in a player than streaming. Worth the dollars.

Purchased this player to accommodate my 4K TV. Was not disappointed. The picture was so much sharper then the regular Blu-ray. Playing 4K movies on the player result in an amazing picture quality on the 4K TV.

This is a very good 4k player. My only negative with it, is that I would like it to automatically switch to Dolby Vision output when you play a Dolby Vision disk instead of having to turn Dolby Vision on and off manually in the settings.

This unit was purchased to connect to the 70" 4K tv in the living room. Previously, a Sony Blu-Ray player held that spot [it moved to the bedroom now]. Largely intuitive function, pic and sound great

I purchased 2 Sony DVD players. The cheaper 79.99 wifi free seems too work just as well. I can't tell the difference. Both of the bluerays have not given me any problems

We had an old blue ray player that seemed to stall and not really operate properly. So, we updated to this model. It is easy to install and operate. Works well!

I’m very impressed with the Blu-Ray Player! The picture quality and sound is really impressive. The 4K movies are also impressive that I’ve played!!! Very nice Blu-Ray player!

The only reason I went with this one and not the X800 by Sony is due to the Dolby Vision update in a few months. The build quality is not as good as the X800 but I would still recommend this one for anyone looking for a budget 4K player. If you want the top tier 4K player get an Oppo.

Plays well, but you lose your saved apps and pass words . Didn’t like how you have to sign back in to everything after shutting down and not using for a few days . Sony could fix with a software update. Wanted a Sony , but may look around more next time .

We have had many Sony products and this one is really great and high tech. If your TV does not have links to special programming such as Netflix and Hulu, this DVD has them.
