I had a Samsung prior to this. I should have purchased this Sony long ago as it is so superior. Not only does it do an oustanding job playing 4K blu rays, but regular blu rays and DVDs are much improved for viewing. I thought I'd never be able to play my SACDs and 3D movies again, but wow now I can. This alone was worth getting this player. The remote is such an upgrade. Navigating discs is simple, and I can get Netflix with a button on the remote and easily get other apps. Don't hesitate in buying this item.

Since I bought a Sony TV and soundbar, I figured I'd stick to one brand and purchase this 4k player. It works great, picture quality and response of the remote is quick.

Been waiting for awhile to get this and it does not disappoint ! Clear vibrant pictures for your Movies and detailed viewing makes you feel as if your actually in the Movie..

I love this player. Picture is absolutely amazing and it works fine with my 1080p receiver and projector. Great price too at $100 off!

Wanted a 4k player and caught this on sale and yet to have any complaints. Everything seems great so far. Looks nice with our home entertainment items.

Extremely nice unit as a replacement for my 13 year old blue ray player. Extremely good picture quality and improved sound quality.

The only thing I found to be cumbersome is adding abs and a limited number of abs that are available. The quality of the product is excellent and it works seamlessly with my television.

This is a great addition to my 4K TV. I have only played BluRay DVDs so far but the picture is great. My tv is also streaming so I haven’t used the streaming apps yet

Great 4K DVD player. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the remote is to small and buttons hard to find in the dark. Of course, this seems to be a common theme with most remotes these days.

one of the best valued 4k video players out there. minimalist design and a bit limited in terms of connections but for the price it is still worth it. wish there was a display but sony had to figure a way to keep the price point low

This is a really high quality media player. The menu looks a little wonky to use and it took me a while to set it up also because you have to configure the HD settings with your TV. Still works great now though

Works well. No complaints. Beautiful 4K video. Watching Blue Planet seems more real than reality. I guess I go to the wrong beaches.

Easy to operate, and good good quality for the price I paid. The gentleman at the counter at the store was so helpful. He helped me choose this one, it was right for my budget.

Like this 4K Blu-Ray player. Had a 1080p Sony Blu-Ray player and loved it so I opted to go with Sony again. I was not disappointed.

I purchased this HD 4K player and I am still in awe of the picture quality. I was watching my Blu-ray Star Wars collection and the upscaling is so close to true 4K...WOW! Sometimes on the standard Blu-ray you see a "haze" on the background like when Luke and Hans were in the cockpit and the galaxy background is a bit hazy but with this player it is truly black with the stars....Also this machine was very easy to set up and connected to my WIFI instantly. Also has a good variety of apps already downloaded:Prime Netflix Hulu etc.

Purchased this player after my older player decided not to work anymore. This one is very nice. Pop in a disc and it starts immediately, Best way to go

The Sony - 4k- is a decent DVD player for the price. The player is easy to install and have excellent picture quality.

This Blu-Ray player is feature-packed and plays a wide array of discs. The first movie I played in it was Passengers in 4K. Excellent picture quality, and no problems.

It's hard to find a good quality 4k DVD player at this price point. Sony is pretty much the only one that does it. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Needed a Blue Ray to play my older DVDs and my newly acquired Blue Ray discs. The Sony "fit the bill". The player was easy to set-up and it is joy to watch!
