Price was good (deal of the day), plus the video and audio quality was great! Didn't have any status indicator on the front (like my other BlueRay). But worked great.

Playback quality has been great. Remote is a bit dated but functional. Only complaint is it skips every now and then but it gets back on track. Overall happy with it.

This is a really high quality media player. The menu looks a little wonky to use and it took me a while to set it up also because you have to configure the HD settings with your TV. Still works great now though

This DVD player is great for the price. The only downside is that you have to buy an hdmi cable separately, and it seems like spending that much money it should come with one.

Does not like surges but I got a second unit because no electronic device likes surges and this unit is probably thebest for the money.

Needed a Blue Ray to play my older DVDs and my newly acquired Blue Ray discs. The Sony "fit the bill". The player was easy to set-up and it is joy to watch!

4k and HDR support on your tv doesn't mean anything if you don't have 4k hdr sources. gives my sony tv noticeably better picture than a regular bluray player. 100% Worth

This Sony UHD Blu-ray player is the better than what I had. Has Dolby Vision and Audio. Makes it worth the purchase and upgrading.

Fantastic product. Using it on a Sony 4K TV. I have quite a few standard definition DVDs and I've been very pleased at how great they look when played on this player.

The most crisp picture I have ever seen on my Samsung QLED comes when playing this device. Really fast too! Best overall value, trust me as I did hours of research!

I really like this player. It plays well and has good construction. I only gave it 4 stars because I feel the user screen could feel/be more updated! Other than that, it was a good purchase!

As other reviews have indicated, this is a great machine. It plays 4K disc's measuring and upscales Blu ray discs also. It even comes with some decent apps.

It's hard to find a good quality 4k DVD player at this price point. Sony is pretty much the only one that does it. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I had a Samsung prior to this. I should have purchased this Sony long ago as it is so superior. Not only does it do an oustanding job playing 4K blu rays, but regular blu rays and DVDs are much improved for viewing. I thought I'd never be able to play my SACDs and 3D movies again, but wow now I can. This alone was worth getting this player. The remote is such an upgrade. Navigating discs is simple, and I can get Netflix with a button on the remote and easily get other apps. Don't hesitate in buying this item.

Excellent 4k UHD player, delivers crystal clear visuals and audio. It is also an effective smart streamer for netflix and other apps. No issues so far.

Wow! Sony 4K Blu-ray player is great. Combine this with a Oled 77inch tv ,and the picture can’t be beat! Very happy!

The player works as it should. One note for others that may purchase this. It is not a fault of the player, but between the player, the Blu-Ray disk, HDMI cable and my TV. I inserted my first disk, and had sound in the movie play options from the disk. But when I played the movie, I had no sound. I tried another movie, and had the same problem. I checked the audio settings for the player. The audio option was set to Auto. I set the option to PCM. Now when I insert a disk, I have no audio during the disk play options, but do have sound during the movie. It was kind of a head scratcher. Again.. I don't think this is a problem with the player itself, just a standard compatibility problem with all the components involved.
