I recently bought a 65" Sony X900F TV and Sony Z9F soundbar bundle. I like how integrated Sony products work with each other. To complete this package, I bought this Sony blu-ray player so that I can take advantage of the 4K upscaling to the TV. I have the blu-ray player connected to the soundbar, which is then connected to the TV. Pro tip: Make sure you get high-speed HDMI cables in order to activate Dolby Vision!

Clear Amazing Visuals

I was watching my Blu-ray Star Wars collection and the upscaling is so close to true 4K...WOW! Sometimes on the standard Blu-ray you see a "haze" on the background like when Luke and Hans were in the cockpit and the galaxy background is a bit hazy but with this player it is truly black with the stars....Also this machine was very easy to set up and connected to my WIFI instantly. Also has a good variety of apps already downloaded:Prime Netflix Hulu etc.

The player has been reliable so far and played 4k discs without any trouble. However, the player does run much louder than the old Blu-ray player, and feels flimsier as well. In addition, there is a manual On/Off button on the right corner of the player, which is extremely touch-sensitive and situated such that it's very easy to press it by accident if you're trying to reach around the player to adjust any connections, etc. and happen to brush your hand around the corner of the player. However, for the cost, it's a decent and reliable (so far) player.

What i needed
