Plays well haven't figured out how to install and use the apps and other features on the player but I'm not very tech savvy and the instruction book is not helpful.

Sony's blu-ray player is great. Sony always makes a great product.

This is a bare bones basic unit which makes it pretty pricey. Don't lose the remote...there are no on-unit controls

Our fabulous Sony TV now works properly. With out the blue ray device we lost quality of the picture and the sound. This was a mystery solved by geek squad guy.

The internet connection is hard wired. I did not know that when I purchased the product but we have another WiFi device hooked to the TV so that ended up not being a problem

This replaced a Sony DVD player in my 7 year old daughters room. This unit is far superior and has the hallmark simplicity married with great playback which make it perfect for her. She loves it!

Purchased the wrong model online. Got excellent help in-store when exchanging for one that will work with our TV.

i bought a couple of bluray players before, one of them a "p..." brand which makes a lot of noise during playback, but this one is awesome and very convenient to use.

Went with the basic blueray player because I had a hardwired ethernet connection. The smart features through the DVD player work better than any of the features on the television

Wish I'd spent a little more for the wifi version, but compared to my 5 year old player it loads fast, and does everything it should. Remote layout isn't great, but it does what it should as well.

Good price, loads discs quickly. Easily reads discs that my old Samsung couldn't.

This is NOT a wiFi DVD player you must plug in to a modem. This should be VERY clear since most devices are WiFi adapted

Needed a blue ray player and found this one in the store. Being able to stream and watch YouTube on my tv is great.

I needed a blu-Ray for my front room. I prefer basic units, just a player . There are a lot of bells and whistles on here I will never use. i still have a Sony VHS player, works like a charm

I purchased two of these units from Best Buy. The first one lasted beyond the warranty when it would no longer read discs. It was likely a laser issue. I was satisfied still being they are so inexpensive and bought another one, same model. The second one I bought in September did not even last 2 months before it began causing issues. It would not load my discs, roughly half of them and nothing is wrong with my discs. The final straw took place last night when it would not eject my disc. It did this a few times already yet this time I had to rip open the unit to retrieve my disc. It is under warranty but no way I can ship it back after I tore it open just to open the disc tray. The first unit worked fine for a few years. The second unit was a lemon. Worked fine for two months and then the problems began. I suggest you stay away from Sony Blu Ray products. The Sony brand is good but they have some serious quality control problems with their Blu Ray products.

I just need a basic player, didn’t need all the bells and whistles. This works great, as designed at good price point.
