||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Make sure you read the instruction on box , To connect to internet and Netflix etc,,, you will need a cable not included , I had difficulties and returned it , it is wifi compatible but not wifi built in . I suggest you buy the same brand as your tv .the remote etc is always easier when you install .

Posted .Hi benoitd, This model BDPS1700 does not have the capability of connecting the internet wirelessly, other models have. This was a gift so it was not opened or used after the return date. A total waste of money!!

Streaming apps frequently lock up

Amazon Prime frequently locks up, crashes and I have to start it over. At times the entire player locks up and becomes unresponsive at which point I have to physically unplug it.

The issue I have is with the video turning to a black screen when the temperature of the unit goes up. Not insanely hot, just up to warm.

I'm at the point of purchasing a new one. About once a week I have to remove power, wait 1 minute then apply power just to get it to open the disc door.

It keeps messing up the audio and it is very annoying to watch a movie when the lips move but the sound does not match. Keep having to reset it to factory settings in order to get it to work properly. Do not recommend this player.

The price was almost the same and I had been looking at the 4k's, but they were so expensive. I haven't purchased yet but plan to soon

Well my excitement was short lived. While playing DVDs, it woulf pause, skip, and jump around sporadically. My dvds are in great condition before you wonder about the condition of those. I always keep them in their cases and do not touch the "reading" side. I returned after a few days to get an LG Blue-Ray player, and that one works like a charm. Avoid a headache, don't get this
