This was a buy more out of necessity since we needed a bluray player. That being said it functions as expected. The menu options are self explanatory and it is easy to setup. The only downside is felt is it does not connect to WiFi so the apps would be useless unless you have wired connection. Otherwise it serves the primary purpose as dvd/Blu-ray player.

I needed a player to play dvd's and Blu-ray disks. I did not need any streaming features even though it has them. I didn't try streaming. Plays both DVDs and Blu-ray disks so I'm happy. The Blu-ray quality was as expected, nice picture. The only thing would have wanted was a less complex menu system. This was purchase for someone technically challenged when it comes to modern electronics.

I've always been a Sony fan. When I connected this player to my Sony TV, the TV's input source automatically switched to the player, and the player's tiny remote controlled the tv as well. Neither of these happened with my old player. I didn't need built-in wifi since my tv already had a Roku stick, so I saved some money compared to other players. It just all works...no issues.

I have manyBlu-ray Discs and I enjoy watching them. I wore my old one to the point it wasn't useable. I purchased this one and all is well again.

Nice compact size. Will fit nicely in moms tv stand. Like the option that it can play dvd's as well.

My 10 year old progressive scanning dvd player died and was looking for a bare bones blu ray player. This met all my needs plus it was on sale. If your TV is on, then you power on this DVD player it will automatically switch to that input. I read some reviews that had a negative connotation towards that but I find it useful. No problems with it so far. Had it for about a month.
