Great blu-ray player for a 4k Tv. Set up is simple and easy.

Great and easy unit to hook up good quality and value

Works exactly as described. In-laws needed a DVD player while we were staying with them over the holidays (who wants to receive an unusable gift?), and I thought, why spend around 35-40 dollars on an essentially obselete technology, from some mediocre brand (or weird, off-brand things that always seem to get middling reviews) when for a pretty nominal increase in price, I could make a fairly big jump in technology and future-proof then for a little bit? Sony makes a quality product and they've succeeded here, in-law was disappointed it wasn't able to access their internet to use the apps since they didn't have ethernet, only WiFi, available at their house, but that's not the product's fault - frankly having one less thing to worry want was a relief to me - though I'm sure that's a serviceable feature as well. Good remote, snappy, fairly quiet, and fairly priced most of all.

I actually bought this player to use in my hotel room while on business travel since many hotels have stopped providing DVD or BluRay players in the rooms in favor of Smart TVs, Netflix, etc. I should have gotten the WiFi enabled version of this, but since the main reason I bought this was for playing DVDs and BluRay discs, it does what I bought it for.

My first Blu-ray player (had a DVD player previously). Simple hook-up. Picture and sound are great. Haven't used much so far, but it is very good. At present, I am NOT using it hooked-up for internet access.

Thought I bought wifi but it's ok that its wired internet. Make sure you have it wired to your internet modem or a pop up won’t go away the whole time your watching a movie. It works awesomely otherwise.

I bought this to replace a player that I had bought in 2003. It gave out in Feb. 20017. When I started looking for a new one, I found that the maker of the old one no longer made players. I picked Sony because I knew it was a good brand. The movies I've watched on it look great! I even bought my first Blu ray movie. More to come.

Plug and play, easy to install - watched a movie within minutes. Easy to understand. I believe this one does not have wifi capabilities but that's okay - there are so many other additions like game consoles, tv sticks, etc. that sometimes it's just not necessary to have this feature. How about just watch a blue ray? Yep, nails that.
