The quality of the picture is amazing, as advertised. The interface is very outdated (but functional) and the form factor is very large for a disk player. It's REALLY wide and deep, but height isn't an issue if you are concerned about fitting it in a shelf. It was also a little bit expensive, but the HDR content is amazing on an HDR-capable TV.

I know that many people want Blue-Ray/DVD players that perform many functions besides being Blue-Ray/DVD players. I am not one of those people. I just wanted a player that would work. I want to be able to toss a disk in it and just have it work. It is great that it can connect to my wifi and that I can use it with many popular streaming services ... but my TV is smart enough to do all that without a player. Previously, I have had players that took 2-5 minutes to turn on (boot up) and recognize a disk. This one recognizes disks within seconds of being turned on. It plays CDs, too (yes, some of us still have them). If you want a player that just works, I recommend that you look at this one.

Got for the grandkids so they could watch their movies in a different room when they wanted to. Works great and being able to stream of the internet is a bonus.

I watch a lot of movies and shows on Blu-ray. When my xbox one disc reader stopped working i needed to get a relatively inexpensive player that allowed me to view my Blu-ray media. This player did NOT disappoint. It displays crisp images and clear audio. And it takes very little time to read and play the discs.

A great DVD player! Small in size but works great to watch dvd and BluRays! A lot of functions and doesn’t take up much room!

I use DVD's in property listings as a Realtor. I purchased this player along with a TV in order to test Master DVD's prior to burning multiple copies for my properties. This fits well in my office; not too big, not too small and the remote seems to work well even though the player is behind the TV, out of sight.

Works well with my sony tv. Easy to use, good price

First off I was surprised by how small this player is. But this little player packs a bunch of features. It can connect to the internet via ethernet cable, it also can access many video streaming services (such as vudu and youtube). As with all Sony products this one is of very high quality and easy to use.

Just what I was looking for in a Streaming Audio Blu-ray Player! Awesome!

Purchased it in July, easy to install and use. Now, 6 months later it just stopped working. Called Sony, and they said they will replace it. Pretty good customer service so far. It is disappointing though that it stopped working so quickly. I have used it maybe 8 times.

This is nice and compact. It has both DVD and Blue Ray features.

Bought it for my 69 year old brother who has brain injury. He watches movies all day. It is simple enough for him to operate. It’s great!

Does what I want simply and at a good price. What more could I ask for. It was easy to set up and connect to my screen.

This DVD player fulfills my needs - to play DVDs. The picture is great, although grainy with older DVDs, as is to be expected. It is also wi-fi enabled, and I found those instructions skimpy and not very helpful. Someone who is more tech savvy than me would probably do fine, and I've not tried to get into it, because I already have a Roku on my TV.

Our old sony dvd was getting tired so we got this new one which works fine

This is a great Blu-ray player and works great to stream from YouTube, Netflix, or Prime Video. Apps are already loaded. Be aware that this one is less expensive because it has wired LAN connection only. No Wi-Fi. Not a problem for me as I have a LAN outlet right at the TV location.

We are very pleased with the Sony DVD player and recommend it! It is easy to install and use.

I'm so old I went in to BB and asked the rep for a combo DVD/VCR player, only to be told they they don't sell VCR players anymore. So after my education, I purchased this DVD player. It works for both Blu-Ray and not Blu-Ray (which most of my DVDs are). Can't go wrong for around 50 bucks.
