I needed a basic blue ray player for my exercise room, and this product fits the purpose perfectly.

This player does exactly what I wanted it to do. I did not connect it to the internet no do I plan to, so I cannot speak to that feature. However, I do understand that this product would have to be hard wired to the router which would not be a problem if I wanted to use that feature.

Affordable, easy to setup. Remote is small and uncomplicated. There's no earthly reason to still own a DVD player. This will play all your DVD's and allow you to also play blu-ray discs and stream!

Works well. Dose as advertised. Nothing fancy or a lot of whistles and bells. If looking for inexpensive dvd player this one works well.

Very simple the movies look very good you pop in the dvd and right alway it starts playing

Bought this as a replacement for the Samsung that was (to be generous) unsatisfactory. This works well with all discs and the performance is what I expected from a low to mid level player. It serves the purpose well and I am very pleased with the purchase.

i bought this model like 6 months ago, it works great and it uploads pretty fast and most of all its small not bulky or long...

I plugged it in. Then I hooked it up to my TV. I put a DVD in it and it played. It works and now I can fall asleep on my couch watching movies.

I'm basically using this as a player and nothing else so other than knowing that it plays Blu-ray's really well I'm not sure how the online experience can be with the apps that are loaded up with it. Hooks up well with all existing Sony products as well. Have purchased about three of these for myself the church and family members.

This was very easy to set up. It has all the features I wanted like Netflix, Hulu ,You Tube. It also as an app section to add more app like slacker or pandora so you can personalize the app section to your preferences. It plays dvds, cds even ones I burned my self. Great blue ray player.

Good quality. Easy to setup. I didn’t need the wifi on my Blu-ray player because I have it on my tv so this mode worked best for me. And was affordable.

They love it because my dad can press "Subtitle" on the remote and immediately see the dialogue text. It's very easy for them. The was the second BDPS1700 I bought for them. First was 2 years ago and made clicky noises just after the return period ended. They're old and Sony wanted them to return the unit first for repair, but then they'd have no player to use! So they just held out until it croaked, but it did last 2 years amazingly. These things are so cheap, it's just easy to buy a new one. And they are very happy with the subtitles!

I've had this player for several weeks and have had no problems. I only use it to play BluRay and DVDs, and do not have it hooked up to ethernet so I don't know how well the aps work.

Had to buy a new Player after my previous one began to have problems. So far the new player is working well and seems to be a little easier to get to turn on and work than the old one was.
