    Plugged it into my TV with an HDMI cable and started playing DVDs. Worked great. Had an earlier (much earlier) Sony DVD player that could not play many newer DVDs. Very happy with the salesperson’s recommendation.

    Haven't really used it yet to play an entire movie, but did test it when I first hooked it up. My one disappointment was that it does not work automatically with my Samsung Smart TV, even though the store clerk told me it would. It does automatically connect with the TV when turned on, but does not return the TV to the cable connection when turned off. Would only recommend with caveats.
