I like that it's smart and has some basic apps. The USB port is a major plus for me. I love using my solid state hard-drive with it. Well worth the money. I've gotten two more for other family members:)

I didn't know she only had a standard DVD player that would not play the Blu Ray discs. This solved both problems and gave her a lot of joy. Glad to see that kind of enthusiasm at 75!!!

I only use it to play discs, not for apps so don't know how that is. My only complaint is the remote has too many buttons. Seems obvious anymore that most functions should be onscreen, not on the remote.
