The Sony Blu-ray/DVD player works well with my Sony Television. In order to play the DVDs I need to use my television remote. So have both of them handy. It has jacks for up to five speakers on the back.

Nice basic blu ray, HDMI signal over long cable is not great without an extender.

this blue-ray is hooked up to a TV in my garage, for when i'm out there riding my stationary bike all winter, it's been great..

This blue ray player is proven, This is my second sony blue ray player and after I connected the 1st one with my sony 4k tv, both work in sync and both remotes work on each others devices in perfectly.

Works just as it should, no problems. Easy to use.

I originally went to purchase an LG model but the specs for this seem far more superb and it so far it meets my expectations.

The Sony BDPS1700 Streaming Blu-ray Player can play DVDs and Blu-rays. Only issue was a minor set-up problem pairing with a projector but the set-up menu helped get it working. Audio is great as well as the video quality.

If there were a picture in the dictionary to describe a generic Blu-Ray player, this would be it. It works and was easy to setup for my parents. Definitely a great second or third system for side tvs.

While I appreicate the MANY apps they have (that I don't use) I only needed youtube, Amazon, Netflix and Pandora and hulu would be nice..BUT no Hulu (which my last Samsung DVD player didn't ahve either so no biggy) But no Amazon? I reached out to the company, they did respond right away which was nice...asked for the seriel number...waiting to hear back...So if they cannot fix or replace with one that DOES have it well back to Best Buy and returning...:( Otherwise it's nice, a bit too many apps that I do not need a bit cluttered in my oppinion.

We needed a Blu-ray DVD player so we could hook it up to our surround sound system. Works great plays both Blu-ray and regular dvds.

It's been my experience that Best Buy is always the best place to find all of the top brands and the widest variety of home electronics. This purchase was no exception.

Excellent product for my daughter to use for anything

Out of all the players that I have had in the past Sony is the one that outlast all of them. So when I needed one for a bedroom it was a no brainer... go SONY!

Works great use it during the week for Blu-ray movies I am going to be getting another one but it is going to be a 4K version Wi-Fi version for 250

Seems to work well enough for me. At this point, DVD/Blue Ray players are like toasters; it's pretty hard to get it wrong. One star off because it doesn't have wireless support, but they make one for a little more money that has that.
