I've been looking for a high quality yet cheap dvd player... I've tried ebay and garage sales but honestly this is worth it...plus i got the warrenty so that will definitely be worth it in time.

I was looking for a budget Blu-Ray player and found it in the Sony - BDPS1700. Great picture quality, easy to set up and great price. I couldn't ask for more.

This is a good blue-ray, it is an excelent product, it allows connect to Internet to enjoy many apllications like Netflix. Easy to install and operate.

The box advertised WiFi but when I got it home and hooked it up the instructions said “wired” WiFi. What?!!! So far, it plays Blu-ray dvds. I would have preferred the less expensive model, but it was out of stock.

Good basic inexpensive BlueRay player. If you want to simply watch DVDs while exercising, this is a good unit.

The Blu-ray player is very easy to set up and use. It delivers a great picture. I also frequently use it as a CD player. This was a great bargain for the price.

The best feature is simplicity. It has an uncluttered interface, free of extra apps that I do not want on the Blue-ray player. I have all the streaming apps I want on my tv, I didn't want to clutter up the interface on the Blue-ray. I just wanted to play disks without intermediate prompts for other apps. This device gives me just what I wanted. The remote is also simple, uncluttered and easy to use.

Have enjoyed this player so far. Good picture and no issues with it when watching movies. Small player so doesn’t take up much space.

I have replaced a 5-6 year old Samsung Blu-ray player that malfunctioned due to a firmware update. I am impressed with the speed that this machine begins playing a Blu-ray or DVD disk. However, I am not so impressed with the remote control size and buttons accessability. Additionally, when the players menu is presented, it is difficult to determine which app is highlighted, requiring that the user repeatedly select another app in an attempt to determine which app is highlighted. Overall, I like the player, were it not for these minor annoyances.

Nice compact size. Plays Discs as expected. Add external hard drive or thumb drive for additional movie or picture viewing.

Needed to buy a DVD player & not sure what to buy, but we bought the one recommended to go with the television. We were not disappointed - excellent picture & very easy to use. Can recommend it.
