I got this player for the blue ray dvd and it is very important to me to have an all region dvd player. I now can watch my movies and music videos from Japan and South Korea. I'm very happy with this. It's also a "smart" dvd player.

This was a replacement for the exact same thing I purchased three years ago from Walmart, the first one locked up and could not get it to function at all. So far this new one is performing properly, picture and sound quality are excellent for the price of the unit. like anything else, you get what you pay for!

I don't have too much to write here. With digital content, this type of hardware is soon to be a thing of the past, but with two toddlers, being able to thrown in a Blu-Ray is very helpful. In that regard, this does the job well. We don't use the "smart" function because on our TV set ups we have either a smart TV or an Apple TV. Solid product for the price, and I appreciate the somewhat compact size of it.
