Does a good job - picture sharp and easy to operate

Thought I bought wifi but it's ok that its wired internet. Make sure you have it wired to your internet modem or a pop up won’t go away the whole time your watching a movie. It works awesomely otherwise.

I have purchased two models and have not had any issues with either. I would recommend the models I purchased to anyone who wants a reliable blue ray dvd player.

This was a great product for the money. The only reason why I didn’t get five stars is because you are not able to hook up to the Internet and use the streaming features unless it’s hardwired. Found that to be truly disappointing and it would’ve paid extra for a wireless Wi-Fi connection.

I actually bought this player to use in my hotel room while on business travel since many hotels have stopped providing DVD or BluRay players in the rooms in favor of Smart TVs, Netflix, etc. I should have gotten the WiFi enabled version of this, but since the main reason I bought this was for playing DVDs and BluRay discs, it does what I bought it for.

The addition of the Sony - BDPS1700 Streaming Blu-ray Player to my home entertainment system was an easy choice. I have a Sony high def TV and have been most happy with Sony quality and performance. When I upgraded my TV the addition of the new Blu-ray player was a fit the enhanced both quality and compatibility. Very happy with both.

My last blu ray player was having issues, so I figured it was time for an upgrade. I didn't want a wifi one since I have other devices for that, so this blu ray player was perfect. Have watched a bunch of movies so far and everything is working great.

We purchased this unit for my brother in law who has some learning difficulties. We wanted something that was easy to use and intuitive as he is not great with technology and cannot read complex menus. This Blu-ray player works well for him: simple, clean interface and reasonably easy to use.

This player has worked fine on a weekly basis. Easy to set up and control.
