This was very easy to set up. It has all the features I wanted like Netflix, Hulu ,You Tube. It also as an app section to add more app like slacker or pandora so you can personalize the app section to your preferences. It plays dvds, cds even ones I burned my self. Great blue ray player.

I've had this player for several weeks and have had no problems. I only use it to play BluRay and DVDs, and do not have it hooked up to ethernet so I don't know how well the aps work.

I have both Samsung and Sony BD Players. The interface on the Sony is intuitive for streaming as is the Samsung. Both carry the major streaming services but less well known Streams can differ between the two. I don't have a favorite and only purchased the different players as the remote from my bedroom activates the one in my living room.

Works great. My only complaint is that it interferes with my other HDMI port, forcing me to pickup another controller and select the input frequently. Other than that it is a great blu ray player.

Set-up was so easy! I had expected to have to ask for help, but no help was needed. One of my friends suggested going for a wired Blu-Ray player since we get very poor signal strength in our home. This reconditioned Sony BDPS1700 WIRED Streaming Blu-Ray Disc player exceeded my expectations.

They love it because my dad can press "Subtitle" on the remote and immediately see the dialogue text. It's very easy for them. The was the second BDPS1700 I bought for them. First was 2 years ago and made clicky noises just after the return period ended. They're old and Sony wanted them to return the unit first for repair, but then they'd have no player to use! So they just held out until it croaked, but it did last 2 years amazingly. These things are so cheap, it's just easy to buy a new one. And they are very happy with the subtitles!

A great DVD player! Small in size but works great to watch dvd and BluRays! A lot of functions and doesn’t take up much room!

Bought it for my 69 year old brother who has brain injury. He watches movies all day. It is simple enough for him to operate. It’s great!

Affordable, easy to setup. Remote is small and uncomplicated. There's no earthly reason to still own a DVD player. This will play all your DVD's and allow you to also play blu-ray discs and stream!

A great unit for the price. Not many bells or whistles but for the price, who cares. I recommend this item

I'm basically using this as a player and nothing else so other than knowing that it plays Blu-ray's really well I'm not sure how the online experience can be with the apps that are loaded up with it. Hooks up well with all existing Sony products as well. Have purchased about three of these for myself the church and family members.

Easy to assemble; it adds to the picture quality and sound, especially if you're using an older television.

Easy to use and good quality product for the price

I purchased this to use in hotel rooms when I travel, its so simple to use and has been bullet proof since I purchased it. I use the wired LAN in hotels for it and its just great. I'm very pleased with its performance and it logs right into the hotel internet with no hassles.

Does what I want simply and at a good price. What more could I ask for. It was easy to set up and connect to my screen.
